Re: Wire clip replacement for purchase?

Doesn't bother me to have to call Spyderco to get a replacement clip. I'm glad I can at least to do that. I was just curious why they wouldn't just put it on their Spyderco website. But not a big deal. Thanks for the responses!

Re: Wire clip replacement for purchase?

Yep, just ordered a black wire clip and black “regular” clip for both my Para 3 LW and Delica 4. Service was outstanding, shipping somewhat quick, ordered Sunday received Friday. Call the following number... 800-525-7770 X107 Great, thanks! This is good to know... I wonder why they don't just list ...

Wire clip replacement for purchase?

I know this has been discussed on the forum before, but honestly I have never really paid attention... I'm wondering if there are replacement clips for purchase through Spyderco? For example, if a knife come with a sliver wire clip (e.g. on the upcoming Watu), and I want to replace it with a black w...

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

The original chokwe is a real slicer... amazingly ergonomic for the boxy coffin-shaped handle, and very thin blade with pointy tip (not a pry bar). The only issues I had with the original was that it was a bit too big for EDC (which the Watu solves), and the detent on the lock-bar wasn't very strong...

Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

Yup... looking at the pictures on ebay, that's laminate. "Solid rosewood" laminate probably. That's fine with me... I've liked their Pakkawood series, and I'm game for this too.

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

This is going to be an incredible knife... Delica size, but more compact in the pocket with slightly more blade/edge, deep carry wire clip, and no discrete choil but you're still able to choke up on the blade. An all around winner and incredible design. Thanks Spyderco!

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

Love it! Its the only new knife I pre-ordered. Exactly what it should be. The only thing I would have changed is the steel... 20cv has too much chromium for my liking, but otherwise exactly what I was hoping for!

Re: TKJ Spyderco exclusive cruwear ????

I really like the look of this, but... I just pre-ordered the Rosewood version from Knifecenter and I prefer a non-DLC blade and I like Rex45 over Cruwear!

Re: TKJ Spyderco exclusive cruwear ????

MSRP is $335. MAP is no longer 35% off ($217.75), but only 30% off across all Spyderco knives... hence the price of $234.50. Nobody's unreasonably jacking up prices by the hour here.

I think we need a "Bring Back the [original] Kiwi" thread.

Re: Long Live The Kiwi!

Very nice. Wish I had taken advantage of these when they were readily available. I would love a nice sprint run in this older model Kiwi!

Re: Forum knife 2020 - model poll

Shaman is the only one I might be interested in (depending in steel and handle material). I have no interest in the others.

I also like the idea of a fixed blade forum knife.

Re: Change in price of Spydercos in 2020?

Wowza! The Spyderco Waterway is jumping from $130 to $157.50 (https://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco- ... ife--78714). Looks like both MSRP and MAP are contributing to that 21% increase in price. Glad I just ordered one at the lower price!

Re: What is your Last Spydie of the year before price hikes in 2020?

Well the good news is Sal said 99% of the prices are staying the same. I think his "prices are staying the same" meant that MSRP isn't increasing. MAP (minimum advertised pricing), on the other hand, is going up, so the end consumer will end up paying more, even though MSRP is the same. Correct, th...

Re: Change in price of Spydercos in 2020?

Seconded, there is no good way at the macroeconomic level. Also, within firms, the only good way is to increase sales revenue, productivity, and profitability. And as an aside, because there tends to be a lot of confusion among the general public on this issue, increasing wages does not lead to inf...

Re: Change in price of Spydercos in 2020?

I hate that we have to see this convo every year. Just to be clear... the purpose of my starting this thread wasn't to re-hash this conversation, nor do I want to re-hash the conversation. Different people have different opinions on this matter, and that's fine. I was simply looking to get some con...

Re: Change in price of Spydercos in 2020?

The more prices go up, the less I'll buy, but there are still many high value models in the line-up. They're a far cry from reaching the breaking point for me. $100 for a Street Beat or Police LW is a high value purchase in my eyes. These are lean, well executed, evolved designs in high quality mat...

Change in price of Spydercos in 2020?

Are the price of Spyderco knives expected to increase across the models with the change of the year? Either due to an annual MSRP increase, or a change in MAP?
