CF Stretch II and Street Beat pics
Just got into Spyderco last month, so these are my first two. Extremely happy with them.
Hope you enjoy the pics.

keeping Street Beat in sheath
Got my Street Beat a couple weeks ago. When I am not using it, I keep it in the sheath. I noticed that the sheath has gotten looser, but not enough to rattle. I actually prefer the tighter feel from when I first got it.
Is it not good to keep it in the sheath when not in use?

tuff cloth and food
i use tuff cloth to wipe zdp-189 and d2 blades, but i want to be able to sometimes cut apples or oranges. is it food safe, and if not, is there another way to provide rust protection?

it was nice to touch and compare the different brands, finally got to handle a Military, wow that is a big knife.
The Spyderco's had good quality, but I did notice some annoying flaws in the other major brands such as big blade play in several examples, and blades scraping the sides of the handle ...

different factory sharpness
looking at a very small sample of different blade metals (basically the knives i own), I noticed they all came with different level of sharpness from the factory.
In order of sharpness - cutting paper
1. Stretch CF ZDP - the sharpest
2. Street Beat VG-10 - 2nd place - not as sharp as ZDP
3. Salt ...

discontinued model at local store
I was visiting Amor-Geddon in Cupertino to look at some Chris Reeve knives, and I saw some discontinued models.
I'm not interested in them, but just in case you guys are...
They had one All Black ATR, and a couple of D'Allara.

hi, new here
hey, new to the forum and new to the hobby. after reading the raving reviews of the ZDP FRN Stretch 2, i placed my first Spyderco order...picked up the blue stretch 2, and a Ladybug 3 Salt PE...hopefully it will arrive this week.
