Well, actually most part of its edge is just not razor-sharp, and I would say that the tip part is really dull. I know tanto is designed strong, but I think a well shapened tip blade doesn't impair its strenth much but increases the penetration a lot. Just wondering if it happens on all lum tantos a...

Hard to figure out which model might not be a good first pick. the first time I was in a dealer's shop, I told myself:" God, give me an earthquake, and I promise I'll take all these **** beauties out before I run out for life!"

Are all Bob Lum Tanto folder dull?

This question may be silly, cause I've been on this spyderco's land not long. I've just been to a local dealer's and had a look at all the spydies there. The tanto made deep impression on my mind, looks like ready to penetrate any surface... But I just found that its edge is rather dull compared wit...

hoho, spin is right. Chinese does have such saying. I still remember when my girlfriend (now she's my wife) gave me a knife as a gift, I was pretty scared Well, it's strange that although she sent knife as gift, she always complain for ...

Which chinook are you carrying? plain or serrated?

Sorry for keep asking around chinook, I've decided to buy a chinook, but I still can't decid about the edge: plain edge seems more beautiful, yet serrated has great cutting power... If just for self defence, which one do you prefer?

Will spyderco repair for free?

I am just wondering if my spydie's axis or backlock got loosen after some usage, will spyderco repair it for free? I think it's impossible for a normal user to repair a backlock knife like my stainless steel police.

Talonite?

Since spyderco has been always willing to try best steel, I am wondering if they are considering using talonite on blades. Anybody has any idea?

Which one is better in Matial Arts? Police or Chinook?

Just can't make decision... Police seems to be better on stab and Chinook is better on slash. If I want a knife for selfdefence, which one is better?

Anybody ever got trouble with chinook's backlock?

I plan to buy a chinook as my second spydie (I already got a ss police). I know chinook perhaps gets the strongest backlock on the planet, but I am worrying about a different problem: As I talked about it with several friends, seems like everybody are telling me that backlock will get loose after he...
