I feel your pain. I own a custom Elishewitz Oracle & it's clip is thicker and looks more rigid than most Spydercos I've seen & it's bent from to much use on my belt. I have to send it back to Mr. Elishewitz. The only knife clip that hasn't bent on me is my BM folder. I still like ...

Likewise, I carry a mirror image of my primary knife. Sometimes, that means buying 2 of the same knife if you feel comfortable with that...right now I have 2 delicas since they're affordable enough to buy to 2.

I would not recommend taking it apart. I would send it to Spyderco. They might charge you a small fee...but I don't really know about that. Anyone else care to give sheltleth some real advice....

I forgot to point out that IF the intruder is intent on stealing, then no, it is not ok to shoot him/ stab him/ attack him. I would think to hold him at bay because YOU are the one with weapon. If he has one also, then ok, you have the right to engage him in combat for the sole purpose of defending ...

the lesson here is -self-defense. Don't use your weapons unless your completely sure you're in danger. Or else, you could be the one to be held accountable. I guess it's not difficult to preceive if YOU ARE in danger, if someone breaks in to your house......why would they ...

I appreciate your honest opinions. I think you guys just narrowed it down for me. I do appreciate the advice. And money is no object....I have plenty. I feel like saving up for a limited edition, though. I'm looking for QUALITY. So I guess it's which Spydie now.....

I didn't say before, but I keep a 5' japanese bo made of japanese white oak next to my right side, so within a second, I can have it smashing someone if they disturb this sleeping wolf....I also believe that one should have the weapon they're most confident & proficient with at their side ...
