I did this the other day getting out of my girlfriends car. I never do it in my car because well, it's in my right pocket! But anyways, it was the clip on my military, i just took it off, put a cloth around it and grabbed it with my leatherman where the screws go, and carefully bent it back. Can't e...

Jeeze guys! I haven't lost a knife yet. When I get home, whether i'm going back out or not, i have a table next to my computer that i put all my users on, and when i get home and the shoes come off, the knife goes on the table, along with my keys, wallet and iphone. That way i can move around the ho...

I've been using my sharpmaker for almost 10 years now and i don't even use the flats of the stone. I only sharpen on the corners of the stones. I also don't go left, right, left, right. I do like 10 on the left, 10 on the right, or whatever i feel it needs. Once you use it long enough you know how t...

My caly3 came extremely sharp, but i still touched it up. it hasn't been a chore for me to sharpen, but i keep up with it. I think it's one of the best edge holding blades i have besides my military.

Buy a used normal mili for cheap on bladeforums or something, swap the blades out and give a buddy the old one after you clean it up as best you can. I'm sure anybody would appreciate a decent knife if they aren't knife snobs.

It's understandable. I've been following this thread because I just got my first military this past christmas. As others have said, when you first see it, it will look like a folding sword. But as you handle it for the next day or two, it will shrink down in size. It's the first EDC in 6 or so years...

Nothing negative and i've been using mine everyday since christmas. It's the first knife in about 7 or so years i consistantly use and have in my pocket at all times. I guess i can think of a con. It's abrasive to pockets. other than that its perfect. i have all black plain edge.

I put probably too much on my Delica 4 last night. Got stiffer to open and close after it dried. Is it possible for the Loctite to have oozed from inside the screw hole into the bronze washers? Yes. All you really need is to put some on the top of the screw, a small drop. Really, a little goes a LO...

I dropped one of my fine rods off of my counter top, ( about 3.5' ) onto a tiled floor. I did not even want to look down because i thought it broke, but i got lucky because it was not broken. You're lucky. I've dropped mine on wood floors and concrete floors, one of each stone on one of each surfac...

Run the edge across a piece of wood, desk, dresser or pen to knock that burr off, then try sharpening. It may just be flopping back and forth like tin foil and as you sharpen more and more, it just gets longer and longer.

I'm just having trouble getting used to the serrations. This is the first serrated knife i've owned. I really like the design, steel and stuff but i'm wondering how practical the serrations will be in EDC. I looked at it moreso as a fishing/beach/swimming knife but if i can figure out how to EDC it ...
