Re: S90V compared to REX45

I know I had a messed up bevel on my S90V mule and it takes quite a bit of time to reprofile. I remember stopping a few times and saying... "man, this is taking too long to reprofile, my hand is getting tired."

Re: My very first Endura was stolen at gunpoint

If I were you, I'd probably go around and check the nearby pawn shops. Hopefully the person who stole it got lowballed when he tried to sell it and you might be able to get it back for a reasonable price.

Re: My very first Endura was stolen at gunpoint

I'm glad that you're okay. It kind of sucks that the only thing the news paper said was height, build, age and hair color. =\ California. Any additional information may be construed as discriminatory and is omitted. Well then, I guess I should have said "It kind of sucks that you live in California...

Re: Who´d like to teach (me/us) proper English?!

All of this goes out the window when you are in the south. :) You should ask Wartstein how he feels about Swiss German. :) And if you speak Southern, can you explain the difference between y'all and all y'all? I've been married to a Southerner for 15 years and I still can't figure that one out. Y'a...

It looks like I wasn't paying attention for a while. This is the best thread of 2018 and 2019. :)

Re: Where to purchase GEC?

I bought one GEC (traded it), several Northwoods (Indian River has a modern steel), a G. Sakai (ZDP main blade), a Canal Street Cutlery (D2 main blade), some Victorinox. A few months ago I got myself a cheapy Huohou slipjoint. I periodically like to order random things that Xiaomi buys, I usually ge...

Re: EVERYBODY/EVERYONE/ANYBODY/ANYONE

- "I went to where Blade Show took place in 2019. But in 2020 there wasn´t anyone there" (Or: COULD you say "anybody" too??) Yes. - "Do you know anyone who owns a red Millie with a CBBL?" Anybody could also be used. I would say anyone/anybody are almost always interchangeable, just use whichever so...

I just placed an order with New Graham.

I can post pictures versus a K390 Endura when it arrives.

I want one for sure! I’ll have to grind the spine flat on mine though. That tip hump isn’t as pronounced as the endura but I don’t need the extra tip strength and I’d rather have a full on pig sticker.
Wouldn't that be a fish sticker for you? :p

Re: Any blade play in the New Green Pac Salt?

My serrated version seems pretty solid.

I want to shout out that Linerless FRN, hollowed out with structural tracks is very light and feels very strong. It has a nice snap when the lock engages.

Re: Has K390 "obsoleted" M4/REX45/HAP40?

I was pretty sure K390, according tot he numbers, wasn't special enough to replace M4.

Some numbers don't match the rest of the pack.

Re: Yojimbo 2 Best Pork Cutter?

i'm guessing because i've never used one, but the yojumbo would probably beat the yojimbo since it's a similar design with a longer blade. This is what I meant to say, stupid autocorrect. It's everything the Yojimbo 1 and 2 are but bigger, I don't see how it couldn't do more damage. There has been ...

Re: Small Blade For A Parkour Athlete

I don't have a ton of experience carrying fixed blades. I've been carrying folders to the gym for a while. I enjoyed carrying a G-10 UKPK Drop Point, the closed retention is very strong on that model. I have a small fixed blade from another manufacturer that has a canvas and kydex sheath with a litt...

Re: Convex SE

Usually convex has a rounded bevel from using a flexible strop. I see a lot of bush crafters use it because you can get a pretty wide angle at the edge, so it ends up being pretty tough.

It looks nice. It might be more of a compound bevel.

Re: "Late lockup" on a cbbl?

Back in the day, someone swapped out their bearing with ceramic, they found the right size and found a place that sold ceramic bearings. I wonder if changing the bearing with ceramic would "fix" your late lockup problem. It must be a tolerance thing. I don't know if you could fix it by swapping bear...
