Re: Forum Join Date Box Code Game

My forum join date is II, September of 2009. Here are the boxes I have from around that time. It doesn't seem super right. I remember waiting months to get the Assist. I feel like the Stretch, Rock Lobster and Chokwe all came out after I had been on the forum for a year or so. The G-10 Endura was a ...

Re: MANIX FULLY SERRATED, will we see one again?!

I kind of collected Manix 2's and I don't remember if I've ever seen a full SE Manix.

Re: Forum Join Date Box Code Game

I'm II.

Does anyone have a box with their join month/year on it?

Probably, we probably joined because we bought one. I don't know if I'd still have it.

Re: Native Designer

I thought I heard that Eric was the person behind the lock improvements of the Native 5. I'm not sure if that qualifies it as an EG/SAL design like the Para 2.

I was always a fan of FFG Spyder Edge. I wouldn't mind seeing an Endura or Endela in FFG SE.

But both come in full flat grind serrated edge anyway... ?! Actually an Endela SE is in my pocket right now...

Re: Spyderedged Sprint Runs? It's Time Has Come

I've been around, just not around very often and not posting a lot. Haven't really been looking for knives much lately, either. Well glad you're back my friend :) So what other models than the KRIS, CAPTAIN and DODO models would you like to see in full Spyderedge? I was always a fan of FFG Spyder E...

Re: Yojimbo 2 wharncliffe with straight edge vs. curved sword cutting philosophy

I wonder if this is more related to: Is your sharpened edge better at push cutting (a straight edge would push cut better) or slicing (a curved edge would slice cut better).

In reality, this is just the Yojimbo 2 versus the PPT.

I'm a little disappointed that Joe's title has a singular "It". I feel their (plural) time has come.

Re: The PERFECT Double Bladed Folder?

I was thinking about making a dyad with a frame lock, but no matter what if you put the lock on the outside, I think the lock would be wrong handed. Probably why the locking swiss army knives have the lock pushing towards the center. Wouldn't the compression lock (or integral compression lock) work ...

Re: M390 CTS-204P 20CV :) Hype Steel

I've used it a few times and it didn't seem like super steel.

I haven't used it enough to give it a real opinion.

Actually, I use S110V and S90V and Elmax more than anything else and I don't feel like I could cut 500 feet of cardboard with any of them before I'd be doing more tearing than cutting.

Is that a FFG Serrated edge on the Endela?

I kind of used to collect FFG Serrated knives.

Re: POLL: CORRELATIONS between lock-type-preferenes? (Pick two favorites out of five / please read first post before vot

That's a tough question to answer when I have Back Lock knives that I like and Back Lock knives that I don't like. Some back locks are tough to get to release, it feels like the stars have to align for it to work. I end up carrying the Manix 2 lightweight almost every day, but not because I love the...

Re: Raven 2

Could you take a photo of the discoloration? I've never seen discoloration near the edge. You usually get some discoloration on the inside of the hole when a plasma cutter is used. Byrd knives do have warranty. I have sent in a Byrd knife when I didn't think it was operating correctly. It was return...

Re: Endela - less pronounced, less "pointy" finger grooves than Endura / Delica?!

The Native 3 and Native Lightweight had it. I thought the Native 5 would have it, but it didn't. There is a chance that the "in the wild" ones won't have it. Honestly I don't fully understand your post, so may I ask: - You mean: SE Native 3 and Native lightweight did/do have a longer plain edge sec...

Re: Duct Tape Knife Handles: Good if properly made put together or no?

Sounds like home made micarta.

I think whatever glue and plastic is in duct tape... wouldn't work well with trying to make it better as far as knife handles would go.

It also would be very good at bending and falling apart.

I would say that K390 is a good friend of M4 and they have a good time competing with each other. :p
