I'd go ahead and get the D2 para. My bet is that it will parallel in price and rarity as the D2 millie. One of those are quite difficult to find, and if you do find one, don't expect to get it under 185. Also, you'll absolutely love the D2 para! Its a beautiful, smooth knife with a good working steel.

Ive Had some problems with BM CS in the past, but nothing I wouldnt attribute to "falling through the Cracks" or one of the CS employees being "grumpy that day" I however have many friends that are as diehard BM fans as I am a Spyderco fan that have never had any problems at all...

I'm right there with you guys. My problem is, when I find a spyderco I REALLY like. I feel like 1 or 2 is not enough. I continually search for more and more knives of the same model. Its killing my wallet!

Compression locks are pure genius. I hope that spyderco continues to use the compression lock on the para2.

I'm not an expert on large scale manufacturing of knives and their quality and such. All I can say is that I believe spyderco is one of the best in the business when it comes to quality control. Having experience with accounting (as well as managerial/cost accounting), I can guess that spydero, and ...

I find the tip strength on the D2 para to be pretty stout. I accidentally dropped on of my D2's on concrete tip first. It didn't break off any of the tip. I was quite impressed :)
