Got nothing on the search. I just found it interesting in the book and thought I would share. Didn't realize there was such an animal as a SS straight edge Harpy. I wouldn't doubt however that MGM had a serrated, then ground the edge down a tad so that no actors accidentally got their throat or othe...

Which would be a better general purpose slicer, the Chinook or the Military. I'm looking for a hard, haRD, HARD use folder.

Hannibal's knives from the book.

It seems that people have been debating what knife was used in the movie “Hannibal”. I haven’t seen the movie, but here is what I have found in the book. Chapter 35 Paragraph 9 Dr. Lecter takes up the bright tabloid from a pile of parchment and looks at the picture of Clarice Starling on the cover, ...

Besides being Turkey day in the States, it happens to be ii fufu in Japan today (that's good couples day for those of you who failed remedial Japanese...like myself). Anyway, as it seems we are seldom without our Spyders, it seems to fit. Favorite knife? I don't really have. I don't play favorites w...

I just picked up a G-10 Harpy at a knife shop in Osaka. If you can find one, I highly recomend this knife. The G-10 is perfect on this knife and gives it a great grip.

I've carried a SS serrated Police for over 7 years and even sleep with it (don't tell my other knives. It might cause problems.) I would vote for the Police. It's a nice sized knive and easy to carry.

The worst cut I received from a Spyder was really stupid. I was shaving with my SS serrated Police when I slipped, fell down, and accidentally cut my head off. Boy did I feel foolish. There I was starring at my headless body on the bathroom floor. It didn’t start to bleed right away, but when it did...

I’m not coming to this forum anymore. It’s too **** expensive. Sure I live in Japan and so I sometimes am checking for things like plain edge ladybugs or non serrated Harpy’s and the like. Well, all this research has led to a new SS Police, G-10 Civilian, Cricket, and just today, a G-10 Harpy. For y...

Hmmmmm. I was sure I saw a plain edge FRN Harpy at the shop last week. They had a G-10 serrated that I've been trying very hard not to buy. (buy me. buy me. buy me.) ****. Those voices again. I'll stop by the shop tomorrow and see (buy me, buy me, buy me). Then again, it may not be a good idea. OK O...

Unfortunately, "ignorance of the law is no excuse for violating it" which is what any DA who want's to prosecute this poor guy would say. I don't know if he has been freed, but I would like to think that common sense would prevail in a case like this, but I have my doubts as he was initial...

I certainly wouldn't call myself a hero. I wasn't in any danger while digging through the house. I was simply lucky enough not to have mine on top of me! Through the days that followed, I found nobody, I mean nobody, had a frigin knife with them, though my female co-worker now has my Snap-It and car...

Used an SS Police in Kobe after the big quake hit. I had to cut carpet and tatami mats (those are a ^&*$%^ to cut) in order to get a kid out of his house. He was trapped under the floor. The Spyderedge on the knife made quick work of it. The image is the house I pulled the kid out of. It was a t...

Never felt bad even though I am a teacher. My coworker used to get upset at the Police model I always carried and often would ask "Why do you carry that thing?!" My answer was, of course "sometimes you need a knife and a spoon won't do." After Jan. 17, 1995 in Kobe, where we live...

Won't stop me a bit.
I will still fly and not be afraid.
I'll go to large gatherings of people.
I'll visit tall buildings.
I won't let the SOBs ruin or alter my life.
I'm even leaving Japan to go back and live in the States. Doesn't bother me at all.
