I an EDC type roll, I like lightweight. I find the screwdrivers are the the part of a multi-tool I personally use the most so I usually carry a lightweight Alox Victorinox along with another folder with a 3" or less blade. (usually Spyderco).

If Spyderco came out with a lightweight pocket sized ...

I recommend going with knives with stainless steel handles.

We do plenty of laser engraving on blades too but I just think it looks especially classy on stainless handles.

New Caly looks huge... I guess I'm probably part of a small minority who is holding out for a smaller Caly, not a bigger one.

Laser engraving on black blades actually looks really nice. The contrast makes the text really stand out.

Having it done by Spyderco is a really nice option I was not aware of and would guarantee quality work.

I'll echo most others when I say the knife is pretty close to perfect as is.

Only thing I'd change is a deeper choil.

A version in black Micarta would be nice too though...

Another vote for the Caly3!

In my opinion the Caly3 is one of the nicest 3" folders out there period. Silky smooth opening, satisfying click as it locks, great jimping, choil, super slicer FFG blade, BLACK G10 handles, low ride wire clip.

I too am a huge fan of jimping on knives and Spyderco really spoils us by doing it well and on a ton of their knives.
