My SAK is my pry bar also. I don't do much prying but if I need to do it spur of the moment it's the SAK. I use the bottle opener/flat head.

Re: Your Idea of a DREAM HAWKBILL folder?

I still vote for a catcherhawk. It would lend itself well to a salt design hawkbill of epic proportions. I wouldn't object to a Hawkbill based on the original "Catcherman" design>> but to me that would be a candidate for fixed blade Hawkbill. But I guess there are two ways of looking at it because ...

I figure if someone is gonna attack me in the shower it'll be some movie type stuff so I might as well use my shower dao. https://i.imgur.com/EL6RJ47.jpg I just keep Chuck Norris in the towel closet. If they make it past the Pitbull, they'll be in for a shock! :P Wow!!! You found a structure strong...

Re: Is there support for an LC200N Street Beat?

I just watched YouTube videos from Nick Shabaz and Pelagic on the Waterway. Awesome steel. Awesome job on the grips. YES, I would prefer a Street Beat shape with the Waterway grips, in LC200N, and if Spyderco makes it I'll buy at least two, but I'm probably not going to wait for the knife to happen...

Re: Your Idea of a DREAM HAWKBILL folder?

Ti handled spyderhawk H1. G10 spyderhawk H1 & VG-10 . Cf spyderhawk VG-10. All SE of course. Maybe a PE K390 too.

Super spyderhawk. Aka the way the superhawk should have been made from the start. No choil and the Spyderhawk blade but with the 4mm thickness.

Re: Which Spyderco for prying with tip?

Szabo folder. Pretty stout all around.

A little off topic but I've used the spyder hole on a closed knife to help pry out a nail before. Just got the head of the nail onto the edge of the spyderhole and rocked it a few times. Manix 2 to be exact. It wasn't a big nail either but it worked.

Re: Sal, Maxamet Military?

Pass on the Maxamet. How’s about K390??? Maxamet or bust. I refuse to buy another military until a Maxamet military is released. I'll just have to settle with the 4 that I have already. {unless a Damasteel military is made of course} 15V would likely outperform Maxamet imo. Shawn has been tweaking ...

https://i.imgur.com/vxi9Xlq.jpg Couldn't find this thing for like a month or 2. Apparently it was hiding in my backpack. Fell from one compartment to another because of a hole I forget how much flatter they used to be. Still, awesome knife. Need to bust my g10 one out. I got it for a good price "us...

Darn Dao and Forrester. Supposedly it's tough and choppers need toughness. Micarta is really grippy too.

A fixed blade Tuff would be nice. Maybe with a bit thinner blade, though. That thing was a monster.
That's what makes it the TUFF. Also keep the 3V and I'd buy one.

Nice job! You could have also ground it to the 94 spec.
Is there a purpose for that shape? It looks very intentional.
I think the cut out in the blade is for your index finger. Helps control the knife a little better when slipping it under a seat belt or clothing.
