Re: Are sprint runs too small?

I feel like we need bigger sprint runs. Hardly any 4" bladed sprints. Definitely too small for my taste. More militaries and maybe some police 4 sprints. Gimme the 4"+ Maxamet sprints.

Re: Mule Team Survey

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past? I purchased a few. Some of the better steels I purchased multiples. (k390, Maxamet, 110V) 2) Did you put a handle on it? I put scales on one and I wrapped some. The M390 stayed bare because I used it for food prep and other things. Made it easier to...

Re: EDC loose pocket clip

Here's an interesting method I like to use. For something like an endura or delica with 2 symmetrical holes in the clip. I'll unscrew the clip and then flip it around. I screw it back to the knife using 2 screws. Then I bend it back down. Helps to see how it will interact with the scales when you pu...

Re: Will changing scales help the Urban?

The poor resistance of ductile FRN’s D-holes to deformation makes me doubt other materials. I think the solution is to swap out the current pivot screw for one that has a Torx slot on each side. We could then eliminate side-to-side play by putting opposing force in each slot. I wish Spyderco would ...

Respect is coming back from warranty. Guard came loose after chopping with it. Hopefully it's all good. Didn't hear anything from the spydercrew.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

That Ulize is a great design. I think if more people had tried it before they bought it they would have sold a lot better. Luckily I received mine from the calendar contest but it's a great user. I didn't think much of it before that though.

A2 For me today though.

Vash, what sort of maintenance do you perform on yours mechanism wise?
I blow it out every now and then with compressed air. I usually oil the pivot area and I oil the spring through the holes through the module.

Re: assembly of the autonomy 2

It snapped somewhere in the coils. But I did open and close it a lot just for fun. It's also been in Salt water but I didn't see corrosion or anything. I'll have to look at it more closely when I get home. I've broken a protech spring before too. Of course I had over tightened the pivot and also ope...

Re: Carbon Fiber Autonomy 2 (in Sal's pocket)

I wonder if it would have S90V steel to go with that old theme. I mean it's still cool but I'd like that legacy to continue.

Re: assembly of the autonomy 2

I broke my spring yesterday and it took maybe 5 minutes to change out. When you put the spring in it is not tensioned. Then you use that little key to torque it back and put the screw in. Of course if you don't have that special key I could see this being difficult. The instructions are pretty clear...
