Re: Favorite movie fight scenes

Some of those old movies have some ridiculous premises. I watched this a few weeks ago and I had to finish it. I thought it was pretty funny. TBH, I think the better examples of the old school kung fu movies were overall better and more entertaining than the ones now. I don't need movies to be real...

Re: Favorite movie fight scenes

Executioners From Shaolin (1977, Hong Kong). Director: Lau Kar-Leung (Mandarin pronunciation: Liu Chia-Liang). This is one of the first screen depictions of the Taoist Priest Pai Mei, which years later Quentin Tarantino would depict in Kill Bill Vol. 2. Tarantino did NOT create the character. Pries...

Re: Tactical Pens Revisited

I like clickies, but I wonder how easy/hard to hold. Is the texture adequate? My favorite daily writer is a blue 0.7 pilot G2 They make one with actual finger grooves and a mini with o rings but no grooves. It works really well for writing. I can grip it pretty well for other uses too. Like breakin...

Re: Tactical Pens Revisited

Picked up one of these. More discreet than most tactical pens. It's a tuff writer. I like the fact that it doesn't draw much attention but I also like the heft when writing. It's not overly large or anything but it's definitely overbuilt. Solid copper with a fisher space pen inside. Nice click mecha...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Couldn't pass this up for $25 on sale. Economy knife and economy meals. Gotta say it's pretty well made. Unfortunately the steel is the major downfall. Got little specks of rust from 2 days of carry with a little sweat.

If only you could just buy the stickers. Received some with the spring sets for the autonomy and when I ordered the forum knife last year. Got one with the catalog too.

Re: Manix 2 backlock SALT please

I would only be interested in an XL back lock manix myself. I'd love to see them bring back the original C95 Manix (dino jimping and all) as a Salt sprint with DLC LC200N and semi-translucent Day Glow Neon Yellow G10. :D that’s a pretty specific and specialized ask. i’m not sure these would sell. Y...

Also I think there may be a problem with finding a non-rusting coil spring metal.
The autonomy spring is pretty corrosion resistant. Pretty sure that could use that material.

Makes taking them apart for cleaning such a breeze when you only have two screws, a blade and a lockbar to keep track of.
There's still the small washers for the pivot screw. Lost one of those for awhile. Went so far as to make one. Finally found it sweeping one day.

I think it would be good to have a dedicated review section. Comparison pictures thread could be in there too.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

As I've said a few times, I use everything I own. Started carrying my Neill Schutte 8 inch dagger, in M390 tonight. Yesterday I carried a Winkler Knives dagger. https://www.bladegallery.com/pics/100215_1_x.jpg That's a beautiful dagger. Has a Loveless flair to it. I might have to look up that maker.
