Here's what Sal had to say about serration consistency in response to an issue I have with one of my Salts being toothy to the point of not functioning properly: As far as serration shape, this is always challenging. each time a blade is serrated, the formed wheel changes shape a little bit. The whe...

Most days I have a Victorinox Climber Deluxe in my bag. It's actually bigger than I'd really like (both pliers and scissors) but that's the price of including every tool I thought might be useful. Definitely handy to have, though I don't have to call upon it too often. a Climber in Bachpack. A Bachp...

I like that first Stretch shot, reminds me of a kitten stuck in a tree. Maybe I should try a shot like that with my Cat? Thanks for the update.

Think Sal was merely addressing the "close to Delica size" comments. In reality there's a 1/16" difference in blade lengths and a 1/8" difference in closed lengths between the Kiwi 2 and the Kiwi 3. So yes, it's not identical to the Kiwi 2. On the other hand, it only got 3/16&qu...

Thanks for the comparison. It's interesting how much disagreement there's been about whether the new one is bigger or not, with Sal I think saying that it's not. But, as your photos demonstrate, it clearly is. Really liking the look of the new one.

Hi Scott, glad to see you over here! Have several VG10 blades, like them. They are presently the house standard around here. To me it's a good, but lesser cutter than D-2 while being far more stainless. Wish I could have the best attributes of both steels. As rycen and the others suggested, it sound...

The problem being its a lot faster and easier to hit the pay now button than post for sale threads and all the associated headaches of managing a sales thread. How about trying to develop a new kind of system for handle disassembly? How about a tool-less pivot adjustment? (I could see it being something like a screw with a ring through it to use as the 'handle'-which would just fold flat when you have it adjusted.).... I was thinking about the possibility...

Starting this in an attempt divert the hijack of the Casual Bombshell thread. Good call. The knife would probably have to be fully assembled or, at the very least, a kit where all parts were supplied. Either would, as a general rule, add to the cost. I'd envisioned it as just the blades, with the h...
