You always have to stay one step ahead, though -- this might make the G10 version the next ultra-rare holy grail collectable in a few years. :D

Just a thought -- if Spyderco is going to do some damascus-blade sprint runs, I can't think of a better or more obvious design for it than this one.

Vassili, do you mean that your test is the only one that is accurate, that is why you are disregarding every single opinion from makers or steel manufacturers contradicting you? Metric, you should still be able to grab some Mini Persians if you look. They are in some ways better cutters than the Large Persian as you are closer to the tip and thus for most cutting tasks it gives you better control. That was definitely it for me. First day, practising closing left handed, but it was my middle or index finger that took a good chop near the liner lock (don't remember which).

Another small Spyderco classic you might want to consider is the Cricket -- I've never heard of a person who wasn't totally surprised at what a great knife it is for constant-carry.
