I use a 7" hollow ground Shun Santoku as my chef's knife, a Forschner paring knife, and 20 year old Chicago Cutlery slicing knife and utility knife that I keep razor sharp on my Apex Edge Pro.

MAC Superior is a great line of knives, super sharp and more reasonably priced than Shun.

Blu-ray offers both better video and better audio if you have an AVR that can handle it. The difference in video is like the difference between photo prints from a 2 megapixel camera vs. a 5 megapixel camera. The difference in audio is like the difference between MP3's and CD's. Standard DVD's playe...

If you're looking for recipes, I recommend this one: ratatouille over pasta. It's surprisingly simple to make and really good. The ratatouille is great by itself too.

I didn't know projection sets were still being made. I think they're getting towards the end of their life cycle. Of your two choices, I'd go with the LG LCD. If you do go with DLP, you should probably stock up on a couple spare bulbs, because they may become scarce before you're ready to retire the...

I really like this Internet radio station: http://www.davidbyrne.com/radio/index.php David Bryne creates a new playlist every month. It's usually about 2 1/2 -3 hours long and it plays over and over again for the entire month. There's no telling what kind of music it will be from month to month. I'v...

I can't vouch for their new European branch (Poland), but their U.S. operations are very good.

I was at a Sears Hardware a couple months ago when this guy came up to me and asked me if I could give him a jump. I said sure, got out my jumper cables and helped him start his car. Then he wanted to pay me  . I told him no way, how could I accept money for helping somebody in a jam. He t...

It's a lot easier to decide when you can see mockups. Good work Jabba. If I had to choose from the ones you presented, it would be:

1. teal - very nice
2. gun metal gray
3. green

No thanks on the coyote brown. Yuck.

Look at the pictures here to see the liners in a Delica 4: http://spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21533&highlight=delica Not all knives have them. They act as a skeleton for a knife, providing strength and rigidity, but they also add weight and make the knife thicker. On a liner lock, one o...

Thanks for the suggestion Nomaded. The cricket is a nice looking knife. I just need to convince myself that I would be able to sharpen that curvy blade effectively. By the way, I learned the technique for closing the Sage - pressing the liner lock, gently start the blade with my index finger, get ou...
