Native in 110v?

I already have a Caly3 CF/zdp-189 and love everything about it, especially the steel. The Native in blue g10 and 110v has caught my eye though... I do like it not having a large thumb ramp thing. After many years of buying & selling knife-after-knife I've pretty much landed on my all-star favori...

^Interestingly, its the $40 Dragonfly that has decent lines, the $70 ZDP is another story. Look, dont read me wrong, I love Spydies, own/owned a bunch, and are easily my favorite worker edc knife. The only knife I like better, or hold in a higher regard so-to-speak, is a Sebenza. I've owned nearly a...

Oh Sheesh... Go ahead, make excuses, allow them to get sloppy.. and thats exactly what it is. Sloppy Grinding. I've got a old (~2001) ATS-55 Dragonfly that was ground absolutely perfectly on all angles, this new one looks like 10th grade shop class work by comparision. Quit sounding like fanboyz and...

Heres an example of what I'm seeing on several full flat grounds over the past few years. The angle is too shallow requiring it to ride up too high while still getting the correct edge thickness. They all also appear to be being ground by a rotating disk instead of an old-school straight belt grinde...

Quality Complaint

Sorry, but I must... Like many of you I've always had more than a few Spydies around, I just love em. However, based on the Spydies I have bought over the past 3 years - a Dragonfly, Delica, Caly3, 2 Enduras and a CF Native - the accuracy, symmetry and consitency of the grinds on the new stuff simpl...

Next Sage?

What is the next version of the Sage? I really like the shape, size and overall characteristics of the Sage and want one badly, but I cant come to terms with the current list of "options". The Ti - I have a Sebenza, so not much point in that one here. The Bar - Unknown to me, a few complai...

Update...

I contacted the place I bought it. Yep, its modded.
It was a experiment that they neglected to return to normal (and seemingly lost track of until reminded).
I am told that the other knife has a perfect fit/function as well, so since they made me a killer deal on it I bought it too.

The lockbar has a good fit, opened and closed.

I really like it, its far more stout looking and has a much thicker tip than it would have with the usual flat-ground VG-10.

So far, so good... I'm not looking the gifthorse in the mouth. :)

Native CF - Love it.

I started buying nice knives around 1997. I went through loads of knives in the first three years - mostly BM's, MT's, Spydies. Although I liked most all of them, none really captured my idea of the perfect knife. I bought a Sebenza, sold all of the others and had'nt looked back. (I always kept my t...

Future Terzoula non-slip-it??

I love the looks of the knife - its nearly perfect - but, I'd want it in a lock-back. Is that in the works?

Can the clip be moved up a bit more for deeper carry?

While I'm at it, I wonder what a tip-grind like that on the xm-18 would look like on that knife?? Humm... :D

I've found my X5 to be a great glove-box light... but it falls far short of a Surefire E1 or E2 (15 & 60 Lumens). The X5 is great for close-up work, such as hooking up a tow strap in the dark, etc... but it's range is rather puny. It's tough and very well suited for a nasty environment. I does s...

Salsa and Temperence

I'm thinking about picking up a Salsa and a Temperence and I'm wondering what you folks think of them.

I'm particularly interested in a good photo of the Titanium Salsa's lock.

I'm also wanting to know more about the construction of the Temperence's handle.

Full tang? Etc..

Thanks.

Sal, thanks for taking the time to reply. I appreciate your testing and tinkering prior to producing the FRN...You got it right <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> However, the "better" Micarta versions still get cheated out of the fine VG-10 blade no matter how...
