Assuming it's a keychain sized knife, that would be pretty cool.

Most of mine are in their boxes in a drawer in the closet. However, I also leave a few of my users out on the table. My place is dry and have never had a problem.

I beat the crap out of my Tenacious back when it was my EDC. There were a whole variety of uses I had for it that weren't "typical" for a knife. Digging, prying, hammering, loosening screws, opening bottles, etc. My edge and tip are still in good shape as I was always at least a little bit...

There is a slight amount of blade play inherent to the lockback design. Engineering issues aside, a business would have a rough time providing tech support for something like this and it would add cost to the product. Cool idea on paper, but a far more difficult concept in real world application.

Nice ergos on the Byrds, but I ended up giving mine away because I think the cost of nicer steel is justified.

Yeah buddy, I feel you. I'm in the area as well. Although I'm not expecting any trouble, I did unlock the pistol for the night. Stay safe!

I use a two handed close, with index finger on the compression lock. I grip the knife on the sides so my fingers are out of the way.

It's been good for me. The lock bar takes a little more force to disengage than an average knife, but it doesn't seem excessive. I prefer a slightly stiffer lock anyways because it seems like there is less chance that the lock will disengage by mistake.

The lock is on the stiffer side on mine, but I never have trouble disengaging it with my pointer finger. The lock has a bit of a long pull, so just make sure you pull it all the way into the scale when you disengage.
