lefty military is cool

Hi: I like mine alot. Originally purchased as a safequeen, I edc it now and only leave it at home if i know I am visiting cities with a 3" or less knife blade law. I really don't notice it in my pocket. I've been dedicating it's use just for food now because it is so sharp. pretty cool to slice...

polished edges for me

for both the delica and military i carry, i like keeping the edges polished. edges just look cooler to me mirrored. for the most part, i just use the knives to break down boxes or cut food. the polished edges are a result of using the spydie course, fine, and extra fine rods. i really didn't set out...

+1 lefty

after being a shelf queen, i decided to edc the lefty military. and i'm glad i did. it's cool to use a liner lock in my "right" hand. i've learned to open/close right-handed linerlock/framelock knives in my left-hand. but nice to have a lefty model. the lefty military is my only dedicated ...

i'd be down to get at least two, one to use and another to give to a good friend. gotta spread the knife love around, especially for US based companies.

Spydie Military

Hi: I use the Spydie Military Lefty model for food duties. I don't like cutting steak with those single use serrated steak knives. I do make sure to slice the steak horizontally so the blade never touches the ceramic plate. Or if rice or noodles are available, i place the steak on top and slice away...

good job on knife sharpening

cool beans with the sharpening. the SM system really opened my eyes to sharpening stuff and i find myself using the knives more because I maintain the edges myself. The more i sharpen stuff, the more patience i get and the results get incrementally better. i tried stropping with red compound on note...

+1 CS and jeff

99% of my spydies and sharpening products were ordered through jeff's shop. After a bunch of quick email exchanges, I remember one time he was able to order a spydie for me that is rarely/never stocked anywhere. CS service is pretty prompt, i usually get his stuff the fastest than any other online k...

What could make it better? Maybe one for each hand. :0)

I know some folks wanted the option to carry it tip up.

If anything, it would be nice to see more lefty variations. I EDC the lefty but would be nice for it to come in safety orange g-10.

+1 Spydie Machete

I'd buy two Spydie machetes if they were made, one to use and the other to look at and hold with cotton gloves.

Be super sweet if they based it on the Rock Salt but supersized it. :D

mini pry bars or larger is what i pry with

Hi: i would only pry w/a knife if that was the only tool available in an emergency situation. i carry mini prybars with me for those destapling duties and other tasks that require light duty prying. For heavier duty pry tasks, i do have a pry bar in the trunk. i was looking at the buck bravo for a w...

ack,
i remember seeing this guide mentioned in another thread. this guide and the Sharpmaker rods would make a pretty good portable sharpening kit in the field.

will there another run of these? they seem to have sold out quick.

+1 sharpmaker

even with the edgepro apex i have, i use the sharpmaker regularly. i normally use the apex for mainly reprofiling then the sharpmaker for maintenance. the sharpmaker is really easy to use, especially when the angles are 15 or 20 degrees. if i need to sharpen stuff not at those angles, i would do the...

mr. clean magic eraser

hi:
i've cleaned up the UF stones pretty nicely with Mr Clean's magic eraser. i cut a small piece (the size of bubble yum bubble gum piece) and go to town. the magic eraser also cleans up G10 too.
