The Moran Drop Point is one of my absolute favourite fixed blades. So light, practical and perfectly balanced! For any normal cutting chore I prefer it over several of my more expensive fixed blades.

What I would like to see (seems out of line compared to many others):

- more slipjoint designs, including a heavy duty slipjoint knife, and a strictly two-hand opening slipjoint knife (for the growing list of countries where carrying one-hand opening knives becomes problematic).

Well I think I have narrowed it to 3 blades. A Spyderhawk SE if I can get a neck sheath from a ebay dealer. I would use it at work if I can get the sheath. The other 2 are the Sage or a Military.

Des Horn? The one with the 'Sturm und Drang'-style design: 3 grooves both in the blade and the handle? Awesome design, THAT was a sweet little gentleman-knife!

The Delica was already mentioned, and I support the suggestion. Light and practical, completely in line with what you want.

It was a very interesting, well organised event with ample opportunitiy for discussion.

Together with the Sebenza and XM-18, it is one of the great iconic modern knives (even if cheaper than the other 2).
Suffice to say; I have a Sebenza which is of course well made, yet I do prefer my Military.

For normal use, the fixed Moran drop point is very very nice and practical. And so light and well balanced. Did I mention already how light it is? I have many fixed blades, and unless I would want to break down furniture with it, the Moran is perfectly sufficient.

The Benchmade has a certain unique style with its reverse tanto blade. It should satisfy you. Lock is good. My only annoyance is the chalky feel of the handle.
Chokwe is very different - actually I've never seen someone hesitating between the two. A very well made framelock and a superb ...

I assume that the "New!" next to the Chokwe on p37 is a typo, or has anything changed in my favourite ethnic Spydie?

I waited for a long time, I knew I would buy only one Kopa (so many other knives that tempt me), so it had to be one that I liked a lot. Of course, they are all attractive, and yet I am happy with my Giraffe Bone variant.
