Re: Native 5 G-10 Comparison Pictures

I have a N5 LW/S35VN and a N5 CF/S110V. The LW is 1.2 oz lighter than the G10 version, much less expensive, and readily available. I don't see a benefit to the G10 version. (All the "IT'S STRONGER!" people who use their N5s to chop down redwood trees, feel free to chime in here.) I like t...

Re: Native 5 G-10 Comparison Pictures

Like many around here I have literally lost count of how many Spydercos I have acquired, but the Native 5 G10 has become my all-time favorite. If a person likes a back/mid lock, there is little if anything to complain about. The low profile when closed, excellent blade shape, sturdiness & ergos ...

Re: Lets talk Native

5 Millies
12 Paras
6 Delicas
TMAG
several D'flys
2 Ladybugs
2 Sages
2 Chappies
Some others I can't remember and the Native 5 has been the best Spyderco I have ever owned. Love the low profile blade and it gives up nothing in form & function.

I don't get it. Wouldn't trade my Native 5 for one.

I only own CRK, Spyderco & Strider. I'd be in if I like the design. No leaf blade and no wire clip. Like the feel of the wire clip, but it's not hard use in the least. I'd like something in the SnG size as well and keeping it under 5oz is also important to me. Where it's made is important to me....

I've had so many Spydies over the years to include several sprints/short runs, etc.. and have found the Native 5 to be my absolute favorite EDC thus far. It finds itself in my pocket more than my Sebenza by a long shot.

TMag but I don't count it because of it's design. Otherwise the P1 CPMD2 without a doubt.

The replies about choosing USA on the blade has little to do with quality as the knives speak for themselves. It's a polite way of saying that the middle class was born out of good paying manufacturing jobs and we certainly can't deny the dwindling thereof. I see Spyderco as an oddity in being able ...

I see a conflict between pics & descriptions of the CF S110V coming out as in the descriptions on many sites say it has a Boye dent, but none of the proto pics show this? I am guessing since the others don't have the dent, neither will these?

They indeed hit a homer with Taichung. I do have a CPMD2 Para that I would put against any Spyderco out there though. It's one that I would never let go. The centering, lockup and smoothness is out of this world. I would challenge anyone to show me a smoother knife. (T-Mags don't count ;) )

Something else I am already appreciating is the less aggressive texture of the G10. The Paras are pocket shredders!

New Native 5 had me worried for a bit

Just unboxed a native 5 today and the first thing I noticed was blade play both horizontal & vertical. The side to side never worries me because it's usually an easy fix, but I have never liked vertical play. I know most lockbacks can have a little as many of my Delicas have, but the N5 was easi...

Been wanting to tray an N5 for quite some time, but something else always came up. I finally decide to get serious and find out they are scarce. I did just score a BNIB one through BF on a trade. Traded my camo/satin P2 for it. I'm looking forward to trying the Native 5.

Yes, however you stated that the Sebenza is not very ergonomic as seen in the pics. Not an argument at all when talking about one's opinion.

Years ago, I had a Sebenza. Not worth the coin FOR ME. The knife is not very ergonomic either, as you can see by the pick. It just never felt right in my hand and was way overpriced IN MY OPINION. I kindly disagree if you are making this statement for everyone. A straight handled knife is very ergo...

Absolutely adore the Chap 1, but the 3 is at small Sebenza pricing. Yes the stepped titanium is gorgeous & involved, but I would likely not carry it in fear of marring those pretty scales. A collector's piece for sure.
