I used to sweat this early on in my knife collecting, but after buying many knives at many price points I don't let it worry me any more.

If the lock up is solid, and the blade doesn't rub the sides - I use the snot out of it.

I ruined one or two knives trying desperately to get the blade centered ...

Treat all folding knives as though they are slipjoints and your fingers will appreciate it.

There is no substitute for a well made fixed blade knife.

Pair a good fixed blade with a good folder and you have a winning combination.

I recently re-added a Military to my collection - I was fortunate enough to get a Ti/G10 with M4 blade steel.

I sold my S30V digicam G10 some time ago - not sure why I did that - may have to pick another one up.

I also picked up my first para in S30V.

I was reminded that any serious knife ...

I just picked one up yesterday also and it was shaving sharp out of the box.
The fit and finish on this knife is pretty remarkable, and the thing ate up some cardboard and magazines.

I have recently gotten into more expensive "custom" folders in the $400 range and I'd put this one up against most ...

It looks like the knife would be great for food prep or for use as a rescue type knife due to the rounded "blunt" tip.

I have several of those type knives, as the blade shapes tend to be unusual, but I find that not having a defined point is very cumbersome for the type of uses I need a knife for.

I would agree - if there was any way the paw prints could be filled in it would be in the EDC rotation for me.

Stainless steel inserts or titanium inserts into the prints - now we're talking.

It's a shame the scales are only removable by drilling out the pins.

Ocelot - Oldie but Goodie??? Regrets???

I was showing a few guys at work some of my collection, and I pulled the Ocelot out of its box after a few years of it resting. I never carried the knife - I bought it with a few other knives and I guess I forgot about it.

It's the combo edge model - and the blade is shaving sharp.

I'll probably ...

I just got a digicam military about 2 weeks ago - and immediately took it apart. The backspacer is not plastic, as I dropped it while re-assembling and it made that distinctive metal sound when it hit the floor.

If anyone knows - pls share....
