I am a sharpening newbie and got my SharpMaker a couple weeks ago. Tried on 3 knives. Very dull kitchen knife- now it's sharp. An AUS-8 (I think) Dragonfly that was never used but was not that sharp. Now it can shave. But I have a dull Kershaw that will not get that sharp. Tried magic marker trick e...

I would go with a Kopa. Looks classy. Leafstorm looks like a gimmick. Just my opinion.

My son is 3. Same thing. Lights up when he sees me with a knife. I thought about the Trainer thing to. I thought about it with him "unsupervised" and some freak accident scenario played out in my head with his 4 year old sister and I decided against it. So I bought him a toy red cross look...

Hello and Welcome!

In case this helps you, (and in my experience), the paper clip style has the strongest grip. If you like the Delica but want a stronger clip, the Caly 3 might be worth looking at?

I got my Sharpmaker today. First victim was a big Henkel kitchen knife about as sharp as a hammer. It's NOT an expensive Henkel- blade says 15551-200. Worked great. Second was a Kershaw model 1620. Also very dull. Definatley sharper now, however, not as sharp as I would like. (Not gonna sharpen any ...

Is orange Urban considered a Variant?

I received my orange Urban I purchased today that came with numbers and a V on the blade. I look on "The Deacon's" web page (thanks The Deacon-awesome webpage!) and it explains this.

I might be a slow learner, so does that mean the Orange Urban is a variant of the green?
