When I go camping or swimming I always have my Pacific Salt clipped in the pocket or on the waistband. Haven't had any problems yet.

Wow, that isn't a normal knock off. That knife looks legit. I would fall for it on an Ebay listing.

I actually prefer the FRN over the G10, Titanium, Stainless and even Carbon Fiber. I find it to be more comfortable in the hand, tougher than any abuse you could put it through in normal usage, offers superb grip (even with wet/oily/greasy hands) and it wont destroy your pants pockets like G10 does ...

I see more lock/blade overlap and immediately think more travel necessary on the release. I would prefer seamless actuation over perceived strength.

Wow, I'm impressed. Never did like the Native, but now I'm going to have to go order up a Native5.

I have a D'Allara drop point. I really love it and I regret not purchasing the D'Allara Rescue that I stumbled upon a year or so ago. Definitely worth having in the collection.

There is a very subtle cutout on the scale opposite the lock spring....

I like mine, just don't carry it much. Spyderco just makes too many good knives; it's not that the khuk's bad (It's very nice), there's just so many others I like better. I should carry it tomorrow.

Get the 701 profile stones. They fit the Spyder-edges perfectly!!!

I don't carry my Khukuri often because I find the lock obnoxious. I love the knife but my fat fingers cant easily release the lock. Had the scales been notched a tiny bit, it would make all the difference.

With that said, I do love the look and ergonomics of the knife.

I have 53 Spyderco's in my collection, and have given 6 or 7 as gifts...I hate to think how much I have "invested" in the brand.

The Spyderco Laguiole didn't have a hole either...nor did it have any Spyderco markings/labels.

What if you made a pocket knife where the back scale completely covered the hole (back of blade flush with scale) on one side, with a cutout on the other so that your thumb can come in contact with the Spyder-hole?

This way, you wont be able to grab the blade to Spydie-drop it, but it will still ...

There was a surplus store in Placerville that had some great deals. Unfortunately, I purchased them out this past year.

J&S Surplus, just north of Moss Landing (30 - 45 minutes south of Santa Cruz) is a GREAT spot to put your hands on most current Spyderco knives. They may be more expensive than eBay or other online dealers, but they have lots and lots of knives.

While I do own a few SS Spydies, I refuse to carry or use them. Nothing screams "not for hard use or descrete carry" quite like a bright shiny handled knife.

No offense, but a modern version (G10 or CF) of the Worker is the only one I would concider purchasing.

The Worker is such an interesting knife. I am glad that I was able to acquire one for my collection...wouldn't mind adding a sprint version to the Spyderpaks.
