Patina or Natural On CPM4 Of Your GB

I read a thread on BF about forcing a patina on the blade of the GB a while

ago. I used apple cider vinager for about 1 1/2 hrs on mine. I like the look

of the steel Much Better. Has anyone else got a patina on their GB and like

patina better than the orginal Spyderco cpm4 steel ?

I talked to a lady from Spyderco...Joyce I think, about the release date of the

cpm4 Millie 2 or 3 weeks ago.

She said she had seen the prototype and it looked really nice.

I have a Maxix 2 se. In fact the 1 I have has Deacon's collector no. 043 on the blade.

I should use it more than I do. Its 1 of my go to knives I use for heavy

duty cuttin'.

I modded the clip on my s90v Millie the same(removed the paint). I think it

looks better but the clip stands out more on darker pants. I Like It Better. ;)

It came scary sharp and still is after 1 touchup on the Sharpmaker.

If a leo asks you are carrying a weapon say no . I have a knife in my pocket

that I use as a tool.

When you say you have a weapon you have get out of the car, be searched.

I'm from Michigan where blade length is not a problem.

I read posts and threads by members here and on BF about carrying a knife

with the "legal" blade length. If you look presentable and dont do anything

stupid(not smart) to draw attention to yourself does is really matter if you

I should use my se Millie more than I do. Its one of the first 10 or so Spydies

that I bought a couple of years ago. I have other knives that I like and use

I hate to be odd man out but I dont consider the Manix 2 and the Para2

in the 3 3/8 -3 1/2 range. With a cutting edge of 2 7/8 on the Manix 2 and

3 1/8 on the Para 2 they both have a way to go before they're in the 3 3/8

to 31/2 range. I know we're talk about blade length but I wish both of them ...

I bought a Chokwe a year or so ago. It took me a bit to really like and use

it often thou. Its part of my edc now...I Really like it now. Its a Great knife.
