I love my byrd Robin! Its the perfect size for just about anything I would need a knife for. My only gripe is that the blade grind is pretty thick so the tip isn't very thin. But unlike my meadowlark, I would bet my life that this tip wont break :D

My byrd Robin, Meadowlark, and Cara Cara all have their tips very close to protruding from the handle. All three are the FRN models. I'm not sure if the G10 has more handle material by the tip or not, but I'm fairly certain that because of the close tolerance manufacturing, all of these byrd models ...

For such a small chip, about 5 minutes with a medium diamond stone would take that right out. Finish it up with a fine grit stone and celebrate your new tip :D

Byrd Robin grind is way too thick

I just received my new Byrd Knives today. I now have a Cara Cara, Meadowlark, and a Robin. I was comparing the grinds after noticing that my robin didn't cut nearly as clean as the other two, and I could see a major difference in the grinds. The meadowlark and the Cara Cara are double hollow ground ...

I need some help...

I want to buy a vibratory case tumbler to fix up my endura's blade but I'm not sure if there is a way to protect the knifes edge while it tumbles. Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? It would be a huge help :D

Well done! What a sharp mirror you have! But: Do you intend to use your E4 or will it be mainly a safequeen? Cause all of my blades have scratches of some sort, it comes naturally from daily use... Well I would have preferred a nice stonewashed look or any even finish but I didn't have access to an...

My luck finally turned around...

I finally got around to purchasing my first spyderco knife, the endura 4 wave last week. When the knife came, the spine of the blade looked like it had been ground with a bench grinder and left alone and the edge was sharpened very unevenly. I was able to sand down the spine and polish it to a mirro...
