The Techno isn't just a bigger Leaf Storm. They're very different knives ergonomically. +1 on this. I have both knives, and they feel very different in my hand. With the Leafstorm, you have to choose whether to have your index finger forward, on the part of the handle that slopes toward the blade, ...

I just thought I'd add my two cents as a Canadian law student. When the police detain you, they have a limited right to search you to make sure you aren't carrying a weapon that would put them in danger. As soon as they touch you or ask you to stop, they are detaining you. They need to have probable...

If the problem is that you can't use your pocket, have you tried carrying a smallish knife in the watch pocket? The dragonfly fits perfectly. I carry my G10 and FRN dragonflies with clips, and my SS dragonfly with a lanyard and no clip. Fits the watch pocket like it was made for it. The Lava works g...

Isn't it DLC?

Doesn't the Para 2 have a DLC blade coating? It's a different blade coating than Spyderco generally uses, right? From what I've seen in watches and my one DLC coated blade, DLC is very hard and holds up incredibly well. It's just shinier and lighter colored than other black coatings.

What about the assist?

It's not quite what you're describing, but the Assist is intended to cut rope without fully opening the blade. I always wondered what the cutouts on the spine of the blade are for. This week, I got an Assist and read the Edge-u-cation pamphlet. Turns out they're for your fingers, so you can close th...

It worked for me

Hi Vassili, I swapped the blade and lockbar from a spyderedge ZDP-189 Endura and Delica into G-10 handles and had no problems. I remember reading threads about other people doing it too. Based on what previous posters in this thread have said, it might not work 100% of the time, but I think it's wor...

Good thread. I'd go for an H1 serrated blade Paramilitary, with an integral titanium compression lock for one scale and yellow G10 for the other. The nested liner on the G10 side would be titanium, and all the hardware would be rust proof. Plus it would have to be drilled for tip up carry.

It's not only possible, it's awesome. I have a G-10 Delica and Endura with serrated ZDP-189 blades. Best knives ever. Mr. Blonde's Delica Lego thread is a big help in putting the FRN Delica back together. Also, some people on this forum recommended swapping the lock bars along with the blades in ano...

Mine works fine

I've had mine for a couple days, and so far it works fine. My hand is small enough that I can fit all four fingers comfortably behind the part of the handle where most people rest their index finger. With this grip, the clip doesn't dig into my hand, the gimping on the spine is in the right place, a...

:D Thanks Tomoto! I've been looking for a mini Manix, and you just saved me a lot of money. This'll be my first combo edge Spyderco. I'm very excited.

Take care,
