Re: Spyderco Lil' Native Review and Return to the Forums!

Thanks for the comments :) Agreed! Definitely the size difference between the Lil Native and Para 3 helps to justify getting both for sure.

Appreciate the feedback both of you. Love sharing this fun hobby. Have a great week!

Spyderco Lil' Native Review and Return to the Forums!

Hello to the awesome Spyderco community! Goodness, it must have been at least a couple years (or at least felt that way) since my last post. Been wanting to invest more time into this great hobby again. Hope everyone has been doing well. In my venture back, I began watching Eric's presentation on so...

I'm curious to which knife dealers are currently shipping out their pre-orders? (hope I'm not passing the line for shiny footprints! If so, apologies!) I am just itching for mine to be shipped, but then again there's always that fear that you were one of those that got overbooked for pre-orders... :p

I believe that most places have not yet received their allotments. Howes got their collectors club versions in, but not the regular production ones. I'm guessing that we'll see them become available at many places pretty soon. Thanks for the info. I just ordered myself a shiny new g10 lava. I am ju...

I've bought a few and drove them across the border. I've never specifically said I bought a knife. They just ask how much I spent shopping. It shouldn't be a problem though as the Lava isn't prohibited or anything. You may want to tighten the pivot just before crossing if you wanted to be extra car...

Hey fellow spydie lovers, I've been waiting for my local shop to have these in but the wait is torturous! :p I am just afraid that the stock will run out before they get a few pieces in. I have a mailbox just across the border in the states.. thinking about just ordering it there.. have any fellow c...

google custom scale division. Cuscadi makes some good stuff +1 on this. I just made an order with them and they give email replies quickly and efficiently. When you go to their site ( http://www.cuscadi.de/ ) use Google translate or just click on "Kontakt" on the top right hand side for c...

Thanks! Clips were much discussed before the Air was released. I agree, it was a problem (not having one) for me too. An early video had Gayle discussing a low rider. My understanding is there was too little real estate to do one (well) in a timely manner. Having put one on, I can appreciate that! ...

It's a travel stop pin. Fits into the slots in the liners. It is an excellent little knife. Beautiful and nicely functional. So light! And my favorite steel. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e173/kbuzbee/a56b48a30427507b2ad8ebde01d68a09.jpg Ken How did you get that beautiful clip on?! Your picture...

Thank you sal, I am most definitely in for this one. Given that this will be G10 with liners... I wonder if/how much weight savings we will see, perhaps 0.5 ounces (2.5 down from 3)? I love the beefy feel of the lava, but I always felt it was a bit stout for its size, although I'm sure that was one ...

Hey there Fredswartz,

This same initial ''false lock'' is also seen in both SS crickets that I own (similar frame locks as SS balance), where I assume the ball first initially engages with the locking mechanism. I doubt it should be a cause for worry. :)
