free forum

I've bought and sold on knife-BST.com, and although it was complicated to give credentials to them in the beginning, once accomplished, the deals there have been very well done, fair prices, and rock solid trading partners from around the world, IMHO -dp

gave up cigarettes to buy more spyderco

two or more per month now with the tobacco budget diverted to a collection that could be a strain to matrimony. This is a man in the depths of a Spyderco jones. I'll wake up whimpering about how bad a start I got, how much I've missed by being late to the show. Itchy to spend, yet unscratchable like...

Ironic, I just bought one from a guy in Leeds, U.K., our knives must have passed each other over the Atlantic.

mcusta

i have about 15 mcusta folders, and they are very fine as to fit and finish. the limited editions concentrate on handle materials and art work, the blades are traditional quality(700 years). oddly they've subcontracted to other companies who then have undersold the same knife.

this is an earnest request for more

the kopa for me is the knife of my hand. the blade itself is deceptively small for it's utility. the only model I've seeked out in any form, even seconds. can't wear rings or any other jewelry because of my work(not that I would anyway) but there's a flash to it, a sparkle factor that even the earthi...

marlinspike

I have spliced many different types of rope including wire. The spike would not have to lock to be effective. The motion is straight and probing much like a crochet hook. The tip appears through the lay of the line giving you a path to introduce the next tuck, while also proving you are in the correc...

Lum in kitchen

The handle is too thin for me in the kitchen. Not sure how thin your kitchen knife hadles are? :p I have to agree with you, production knives for me need big solid handles with no food traps in the design. Must be easily cleanable and have assurance of grip to not slip even when your hand has butte...

lum edc

carry a green serrated Lum everywhere, the handle and blade are so smooth to work with and I find that it comes to the hand quickly and can be used very precisely. Didn't look anything like it feels when actually held and used. I absolutely love it.-dp.

johnny one note

I have the kopas and only want to secure more.Less greed than admiration for the lines and form. While I do collect spyderco in general, the kopa series has become a collection within a collection. I have found that with the current economic slump that all these beautiful spydercos are marching to m...

the Kopa

Mr. Glesser, Sir? I wouldn't importune you for trivial matters such as world peace, or global quick change, or even if I am destined to die this evening. It's just that the kopa model spyderco has led me from Buddhism to oniomania. U.S. currency is based on the Spyderco Equivalence Standard. The kni...

use Mohs scale

I've sharpened a knife to razor edge using oil off the dipstick and a piece of glass-an axe on wet sidewalk-a lawnmower blade with the rock that it kicked. Rub two unlike things together and one will wear against the other to your benefit. How do you think so many shivs exist in the penal system?

Spyderco/sak

I fell in love with victorinox before I even knew there was Spyderco...Yet.. The Ladybug on my keys has solved more problems for me than the 27 function sak ever did.
