There are a few models that I sorely miss. The Kopa and Kiwi were great folders to carry. I really like bolsters and had a Harrier, but it felt huge compared to the Kopa and Kiwi. I have been stalking the knife forums and ebay hunting for the Wings 2 slipit. They are nowhere to be found. I do think ...

The Harrier reminds me of the Kopa. I love the micarta scales and pins. This could be a gentlemen-style folder that could come out with different interesting scales even if they were just various colors of micarta. I got the illness late in that run, but would enjoy a Harrier run every bit as much.

I sorely miss the Kopas and the lockback kiwis. They sell for 135+ when they hit ebay. There seems to be some kind of market.

Getting stuck on the price of a mac is not unlike getting stuck on the price of a Spyderco. There are some things that would make a pc necessary, when people talk about buying two or three pcs for the price of a mac I remind folks of how long most mac owners hold onto and use their macs. I passed my...

Sensa

Sensa makes a nice roller-ball that takes the Parker gel ink. I also have a Michael's FatBoy which takes the parker refill. I find that refill to be the smoothest writing for me. I also have a sweet Namiki blue carbonesque vanishing point fountain pen that requires a Kopa dress knife to keep up a un...

Kiwi

Sal, I enjoy all of my Spydercos, but the Kopa and Kiwi remain my favorites because of the bolsters and the variety of scales. I would love to see a large Kiwi with the notch, bolstered and hollow grind. The grind is the least significant to me. The bolstered scales in a series of exotic materials w...

Mac

My family and I went Mac about 5 years ago and it has been great. I use my macbook for teaching and have two daughters in college with macbook pros. They are more to get into, but last for years without issues.

I like the dressier options such as jigged bone, abalone or carbon fiber. I especially like them on bolstered knives such as the Kopa and Kiwi. For heavier users I prefer titanium. I edc the Salsa Titanium and the Leaf Storm. The more titanium gets banged around the better it looks to me. The Techno...

I have two CRKT's that I like a lot. The Lake's P.A.L is a beast and so is the Graham Stubby Razel folder. I cannot speak about the one's you mentioned.

economy

Economy is derived from the Greek for family. These large corporations make decisions far removed from realities that guide our choices. Their structures are unreasonable. I suspect there are many ways they could recoup their 28% without effecting the quality of their products or services. It seems ...

Top Lock II

I believe that the speed lock was a essentially a top lock II auto. I know that you can find the springs on ebay for the top lock ii. I have two springs of different sizes that I got when I considered turning one into an auto. If you want to try them on it let me know and I'll send them to you.

sensa and fatboy

I have two roller-balls that I use in my work as teacher and ongoing student. The Sensa is relatively inexpensive and takes the Parker gel-ink. I also have a Michael's Fatboy. It takes the Parker gel-ink as well. The point is that I think I like the Parker gel-ink most of all and so I look for deliv...

It is amazing that I keep adding to the crazy numbers of Spydercos and yet it is the older dinged up Spur that gets to go out and play most days.

titanium/g-10

What about a combination like the leaf storm; titanium with integral lock and g-10 on the other side for grip? Because I would want something like this for boating, fishing camping applications I would look for thumb choil for greater control.

This is just more of the same, but seen all together I hope this thread is as impressive to readers as it was to be an individual who received such great customer service. It is easy to steal and copy great product ideas, but good customer service absolutely sets Spyderco apart. Isn't it odd how few...
