Leafstorm baby!

Hey,

Just got my hands on the long anticipated Leafstorm.
This is by far one of the best built production folders I've ever handled!

What I really dig about this bad (little) boy is the Ti liner lockside and the single block G-10 scale and backspacer... That just rocks!

Congratulations to Kevin ...

 OMG  That is a truly beautiful knife! Is that Ti I see?

Indeed. Ti it is!

Usually Sacha makes the PPT with G-10 scales on both sides or a full Ti framelock version.

I requested the best of both worlds... Ti framelock with a thinner scaled liner opposite lockside.

I love the looks ...

one thing seems unusual to me: while closed the spyderhole is partially covered in both sides of the handle..
It's a big hole.
There's plenty purchase for the thumb to slide that thing open...

French sweetness! The PPT.

Here's the PPT Sacha just finished for me.

I'm sure you're familiar with the model but just in case let me break it down for you.
PPT stands for Perrin Perroti Thiel. The folder was designed by the first two and beautifully executed by the later.
It's scheduled to enter the Spydie range shortly ...

It just fits right in, just like you can probably guess from just looking at that handle!

Truly a piece of work...

Congratulations to Jens for his innovative designs and the Spydie crew for making this happen.

I find the older Caly Jr. with its wider "neck" fits my hand better than the narrow Caly 3. I have to base that opinion on the non-locking UKPK, as I never ...

That Spyderco Laguiole is a bold choice and one that demonstrates Spyderco's culture, open mind and repect for the french culture.

Being french, that and the Perrin collabs, make me very proud.

I don't believe any other american brand could have shown that kind of acknowledgement to french ...
