I thought it was 0.0005, but I could be wrong.FLYBYU44 wrote:.005mm tolerance is not that tight, any modern CNC machine center could easily meet or exceed that tolerance by quite a bit, and do that over and over again. Sebenza's cost what they do because people are willing to pay that much for a pocket knife.

Josh you are probably right about the high hollow grind, but the original Chinook doesn't cut too shabby.Really the biggest dislike of the Chinook 1 is the lock and Tip down carry. :) What do you mean biggest dislikes? I love tip down! :D A thin high hollow grind would probably cut better then the ...

Josh pretty much nailed it. I might add that the HG blade also combines good shallow slicing ability (like skinning or other cuts that don't go to full blade depth) along with good strength due to the saber grind. I found it to cut decent enough, but sent mine off to Tom Krein for a FFG to a .015&q...

Unfortunately, that's not really true, at least not when looking at a photograph. Lighting can make the clip of a real UKPK, and any of the other Spydercos which share that clip, look like bright steel in a photo. Especially if the knife is brand new or has been wiped down with a rust preventative....

This probably doesnt really apply, but there is a metal alloy with 'memory' that goes back to its original shape. Is called nitinol. Alloy of nickel/titanium. It's the stuff used in those eyeglass frames that you can bend, but go back to original shape. It's used a lot in medical devices such as th...

That would work for me, I just hope it would not create the same sort of speculative mentality you see with some BM LEs, with people buying huge quantities only to sell them back on eBay at a premium within weeks. That is something that Spyderco has so far been immune to. Something that helps is th...

True, how about this? Maybe (this is a stretch, and probably too much to ask) but maybe we could receive the laser etching for the original sprint pieces, and then from there out Spyderco could offer a choice of black blade or regular blade like they did with the Digital Camo Millies! That way they...

Regardless of whether it ends being a sprint run or not, they cost exactly the same as the regular ones. Some dealers tried to take advantage of the sprint run thing to sell them closer to MSRP, but most did not. I paid mine 119$ from Cutlery Shoppe. I hope they make an orange one with black blade,...
