Remember, all of the TSA inspectors have lock cutters in case the baggage is locked. I doubt a lock through the hole would really deter anyone from taking it if they really wanted it.
Why would they do that? It's not illegal to carry a knife in your luggage. Also what is the deal with the knives sold on e-Bay, why are they sold there?

Keeping track of all the things I've sharpened with my new Sharpmaker, add pizza cutter to the list (it's the wheel type). I can't believe how versatile this thing is!
I got a Sharpmaker for Christmas. So far I've sharpened all the usual stuff (knives, potato peeler, etc.). I also sharpened my Oster A-5 clipper blades (this would have cost me $6/blade to have sharpened, and I did all 6 myself). It's already paid for itself!
