Really? Well, that's another one I gotta look into now. :) Thank you.

Forgive me for dredging up this old thread but I'm not too up on Spydies. Yet. :) What is the top knife in this pic? Is that an original Police model? Thanks.

FFG Delica?

Forgive me, but I'm blind in both ears. ;) Is the G10 model of the Delica the only full flat grind Delica available? Thanks.

Only problem is the handle's a bit small for my meathooks. Guess I gotta look for an early Endura in black then. Thanks!

Well, I subbed for Santa and got myself a pe Spyderhawk. It came today and I used it for opening packaging and envelopes, etc. My first hawkbill and I love it! This is my second Spyderco knife and I've a feeling won't be my last.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Endura in black with PE?

Somewhat of a Spyderco newbie here... I've looked and haven't found one so figured I'd ask to be sure..... Is the Endura available in an all-black model with a PE blade? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

I love the compression lock. It's even with the Axis lock as far as reliability goes, maybe even better. I wish Spyderco would make more compression locked knives. Sal, you hearin' me brother?!

Merost, you cannot go wrong with an Emerson. I've got a CQC14 Snubby and love it. The ergonomics are the best I've ever felt on a knife. My next Emerson will be a CQC8. Now I just gotta decide if that'll be a "regular" CQC8 or Super CQC8! Arrghh!

Nice work, Jim! I like the smooth lines of her. What did you use? Sanded by hand, belt sander, Dremel?

Modified Your Para's Handles?

I picked up a Para last year but after a while I didn't like the handle's shape. It just didn't fit my meathooks. Now I'm thinking of sanding down the front-most bump and maybe take the back down a little, too. So has anyone else modified their Para's handles to fit them better?

I would LOVE to see a more tactical handled Spyderco, ala Emerson, with a large finger groove, and using the Compression Lock. The Compression Lock is tied with the Axis Lock for most reliable lock IMO. I think this would be a very big seller for Spyderco. My military buddies and I have all talked a...

The T6 or T8 designation just denotes the type and size driver needed for that particular screw, which would be TORX 6 or TORX 8 on most Spydercos. Offhand, I don't know what the actual screw diameter and pitch would be for those screws so I agree with Deacon. Calling Spyderco would be the easiest w...

The answer is to change your average pocket clip to something less... knife-y, ala pen clip. My clip I just installed on my Para for tip-up is a standard metal belt clip used for keys. I think the brand was Hyko, item#kc182. It looks a lot less like a knife clip... more like a money clip. So far, so...

I finished my Para tip-up mod yesterday afternoon. I first did a wire clip just like Tricod's but didn't like it. I then made a typical flat clip, but using only 1 screw and it's working perfectly. A little blue Loctite on everything and she's good to go. Pics, if anyone cares, will be up when I get...

If you are REALLY into modding, you can make the detente on the Para much better. I'd have no problem doing this but my detente seems to be deep enough. MOF, I had my Para clipless sitting in my RFP with a lanyard for a few days and it never bit me. :) Well, the hole is drilled and counterbored, th...

What I do when I install the wire clips is inset my own small liner in the G-10 (.050 titanium disk). I make a disk because I can simply use an endmill to cut inlay the liner. Hello, Tricod! Nice to meet another guy with modding in the blood. :) Have you tried using a binding post (aka Chicago scre...

Para's bronze washers: size?

OK, last night while opening up my Para so I could work on the tip-up clip mod one of the ph/bronze washers went .... somewhere. After hours of looking I still cannot find it. :( Anyone know what the dimensions of these ph/bronze washers are in the Para? Thanks.
