Hi quietuslstd......You might want to try Sng Arms in Trengganu Steet, Chinatown or Beach road near the Raffles hotel...I think they both stock Spydies.

For something extremely tough, get the Chinook, it has a bowie style blade as well and is built like a tank. It is a MBC knife and is a lockback as opposed to the Military's liner lock. The Military seems a bit too flimsy for such a large knife.

Carlos, I've got a Surefire E2 HA and the Type III hard anodised finish is extremely durable. I've dropped it on concrete a few times and there are no visible scratches or dings. Hi Tightwad and Sal, I'm looking for a steel that I will be using mainly for edc chores such as opening boxes and cutting string. I only have a choice between these 5 steels and am looking for one with a balance between rust prevention and edge retention. Thans for the help.

For me, its the value for money factor, the quality and innovative designs. In addition, Spyderco staff and personnel like Sal, Joyce, Carlos, Spyderholic and Ryan provide almost instantaneous responses to any queries or problems.
