The flat grind is the best part.

This is my second Mule Team Knife and my second handle and sheath. I graduated to a band saw, drill press and belt sander this time. It made the whole process easier and more enjoyable. The wood handles were less forgiving than the canvas micarta that I used the last time.

Just ordered the Iron Wood Scales for the handle. Hope to have the scales in before the 1st. Then when I get the the new mule team I will be set.

I am looking to buy a Military for an EDC and duty knife. I want to know if there are many problems with lock failure. I saw a YouTube video that show a Military's lock fail after it was hit on the spine on someone’s leg. I know that all locks have a fail point. My current EDC and duty knife is a 71...

When the next Mule series comes out I plan on putting handles on one. I am thinking about wood slabs on that one. Maybe I will be able to improve my work.

This was my first attempt at making handle slabs and a sheath. I used brown canvas micarta with a dremel, hand drill and sand paper. I have room for improvement. My pin holes did not come out as well as I would have liked (needed a drill press). Still for not knowing what I was doing I am satisfied....
