I say the Para 2, and feel its one of the best designs made by anyone. I think you would love it, and if you don't they sell very well since they can be hard to find. I would try it first for this reason if no other. I also like the Sage 1, and carry one a good bit. For me, the Native 5 is a bit hea...

Upset? No. But every time I make mistakes they seem to have consequences. But maybe that's just me? Ken At times, me too, but then again I don't run a company as large as KnifeCenter, or I'm sure I would make more. And I imagine there will be some consequences. They will more than likely have to ca...

Right after ordering it on KC, it appears that they've removed it from their website. Yes, they took it down yesterday right after I called to tell them they had it priced wrong. I hope no one gets upset when they don't honor that price. I don't think anyone here would. They're a good company, and ...

I agree with Sal. It depends a lot on who you ask. You can ask 5 different policemen around here and get 5 different answers. Same with lawyers. I don't know what it's like there, but here, as long as you are doing nothing wrong they really don't care what you have. But if you are arrested for somet...

I just let the blade drop with a little wrist action(to much wrist and it will slam the blade closed with bounce-back) after depressing the lock with my right index finger. My right thumb is on the opposite scale.

When cutting anything, whether cheese or large sheets of cardboard, FFG allows the material to hug the entire height of the blade as it moves through. This increases the total friction, which is why FFG "binds" (pun intended) when cutting through cheese. Soft materials(such as meat for ex...

Bill1170 wrote:Are the competition cutters used in Bladesports competitions flat ground or hollow ground, or some of each?
Most all use a flat ground blade with a convex edge made from M4. Not all, but most.

The PM2. The FFG blade with a great deal of distal taper in it, (and the full sized Military), makes for one awesome slicer. If you are cutting with the edge only I don't think you would see much difference. But if the blade is going all the way through what you are cutting I think the FFG blade wit...

The Sage series, particularly the Sage 1 and Sage 2, have a VERY loyal following and seems like many folks feel its the BEST production EDC available today. But what about the Native 5? I am a bit surprised it does not get the same high praise as the Sage series. The Native 5 seems VERY close to th...

Inclusive? Or each (35° inclusive)? I don't have a big use for 35° but 20° would be a nice addition. Ken 35 Inclusive. I find 20 per side a tad thick, and 15 a tad thin on certain knives. And yes I agree, a 20 inclusive would be nice for some of these newer super steels. Maybe another Sharpmaker is...

The PM 2 hasn't really been on my radar until a month or so ago. Always thought it would be too large and too tactical/mean looking. Changed my mind after I saw the new orange, blue and brown sprints/exclusives. After checking the stats I found that it was even a tad smaller than my Endura and this...

I had and carried both for a while. It's all about the fit in hand, and not the steel, that made me keep the Sage1.

The frame of the Sage fits my hand much better. I also like that it's a bit wider between the liners, as that feels better on my fingers.

I love several Spyderco's, but feel no other company offer's a 4oz knife with a FFG 4" blade, and a great large handle design.

This seems to be the most popular beating a dead horse topic of all, no mater the knife forum you are on,lol. I've heard all of this for so long I no longer have any feeling about the topic one way or the other. A few years back I would give the flippers a hard time over on BF(mainly Busse flippers)...

I'm with Leatherneck. Had they been foliage green or coyote brown(or CF) I would have paid the high price for sure.

I can't help it I don't like the color, but the only blue I like is a very dark navy, and I don't even think I would want it on a knife.
