I remember supply issue too, but IIRC, it was supposed to be taken care of by now. Don't remember. All I know is I want my Southard.

Para I don't care that much. Just gonna try and trade mine for a 20CP Para. More for scale color than steel.

If the Tuff is that wrong of a tool to be using for chopping off a couple of relatively small branches than that's fine, but it should probably get different name.

Yeah the edges were really sharp on the one I've had and I could def see them cutting you. Cut my index finger on the hole of a Starmate once.

The SMF also comes in 3v (also $475, if you can find one), although somewhat rare FWIW. It also comes in S35vn and CPM154. Price is pretty accurate at around $250 for the Tuff and $475 for the Strider. Strider monitors AD pricing, so if it's being sold new for under $475 from a dealer, they're eithe...

At one point, I bought all of these in a relatively short period of time:

Although, I don't have any of them anymore. Only Spydie now is a Yo 2.

Yeap. I've had a bunch of Paras, but this is why I don't have them anymore. I have 2 Yojimbo 2s and they seem fine, but I just got them so I'll have to see how they hold up to some use.

I find this hard to believe. Both seem like good knives and I would be in for both, but I am not holding my breath. 1. The Yojimbo seems like an odd candidate for S90V and CF. 2. The thread seems open ended, no idea what year the exclusives will happen. It is similar to the Blue M4 Para thread, tho...

In listening to Ed talk about this knife, maybe the fwd choil isn't meant to be used in a normal grip. It could serve two other purposes. To prevent the knife from cutting your fingers off if it ever closes and to help with a grip where you're completely choked up, as in grabbing the knife only by t...

Never had a lock on a knife made by reputable company fail. Never had any blade performance issues, but like anything else, a little maintenance never hurt anyone. I've had 1095, M4, Elmax and S30v develop rust just sitting.
