Hi Incubus and welcome to the forum- I'm a newbie here myself :-) In the US, the acronym "LEO" stands for Law Enforcement Officer. I know that both the models you mentioned are definitely available to the public here in the U.S., but the situation could be different in Denmark(although I d...

Edge angle for sharpening ..

I've got another question for my fellow Spyderco owners here. At what angle does Spyderco grind the edges on their blades? I don't know if it's the same for all models, but the Calypso Jr.(VG-10) is the knife I'll be sharpening. Thanks! P.S. I apologize in advance to Mr. "Stare" and his he...

Thanks for the responses guys. From what everyone has told me, the loose blade is nothing to worry about on the Calypso and is actually quite normal. Since it's only loose when closed, I'm not going to worry about it. The blade only touches the inside of the handle rarely and only when I close it a ...

You got me! Yep, I posted on two different forums using different names and different stories just to confuse the same people whom I asked for help. Get real! I just read the post on BladeForums, but it definitely wasn't made by me. If I would've seen that post yesterday, I would've never needed to ...

Thanks for the response. I'm surprised(and disappointed) to hear that Spyderco knowingly sold defective knives, even at a discount. Mine was just recently bought and the blade appears perfectly straight. The problem is that is wobbles back and forth when closed. Is there normal for a lockback? I kno...

Should I return my new Spyderco?

I'm hoping someone here can tell me if it's common for the blade on a Spyderco lockback(Calypso Jr.) to wobble side to side while in the closed position. Everything is fine while the blade is open, but it's starting to tap up against the inside of the Zytel handle when I close it. Has anyone had thi...

Lockup on Calypso Jr.

I've got a question about the blade lockup on my Calypso Jr. When the blade is extended, everything is tight and works great. However, it's quite loose and off to one side when folded. Is this common for Spyderco lockbacks? As far as I know, there's no way to adjust the blade tension on this particu...
