Re: Need LC200N Backlock Plane Edge Salts in FRN! (please)

The title says it all...Sal, any time frame as to when we might see some of this variety of knife hit the market? Any and all varieties would be appreciated...and I think they all would sell! Currently the native salt is what you're looking for, but I'm sure more are coming! Yeah, I had one and gav...

Pacific Salt FFG in LC200N has been in the works for a few years now.
Yes, I know. The current salt models in FFG LC200N would just be the perfect EDC knives for me (and many others, I would guess).

Re: When will we see more LC200N in linerless FRN?

I have the native 5 salt. It's a fine knife, but I'd like to have some other options (wharncliffe, different handle options, etc). I'm pretty sure it's coming, but I though it would be here sooner. It probably just shows my ignorance in terms of how long it takes for an idea to get to market.

When will we see more LC200N in linerless FRN?

I think this is a pretty frequently asked question...do we have an answer on this? Sal?

(Trying to not be too impatient...but this seems to be the cat's meow of EDC for a lot of people.)

Re: Boye Dents on Backlocks? Yes or No?

Doesn't matter that much to me, but, that said, it's a little easier to locate the lock when you're not looking if it has the 'dent.'

Re: Why put liners in the Delica?

Just curious, what do you guys do that require so much corrosion resistance? It's not that I require corrosion resistance...but if a knife can be made to be corrosion resistant (or corrosion proof) without sacrificing strength or any other characteristics, why not just make all of them that way? I u...

Re: Why put liners in the Delica?

We have made linerless models and models with liners. Each has it's advantages and disadvantages. I'm sure we'll keep studying the question as we provide both. Time teaches us a great deal. sal I think one of my main reasons for bringing it up is the fact that I really like the linerless version bu...

Re: Why put liners in the Delica?

As I stated, my reason for preferring the linerless version is due to the simplicity of the design and added benefits of corrosion resistance. I don't mind the weight of the lined version, but why have the added weight without really having any real benefit. How rigid does a folding pocket knife nee...

Re: Why put liners in the Delica?

Yes except that we can’t get FFG in the Salt 2 scales. I see. Can Delica 4 blades be swapped with Salt 2 blades if someone was interested? CG Yes. In fact, this is what I have done. It would be nice to not have to buy two knives for every one I’d like to use. I completely understand; a ffg Salt 2 o...

Re: Why put liners in the Delica?

Guess I like that it is available both ways. Should make those that prefer them and those that don't prefer them content. A better approach than all linerless may be keeping things as they are and adding a LC200N Salt 2 version. CG Yes except that we can’t get FFG in the Salt 2 scales. I see. Can D...

Why put liners in the Delica?

This is a serious question...and I know we all have our preferences. I admit that I am biased because I prefer the linerless Salt 2 scales over the lined Delica 4 scales. But my preference isn't based on feel alone. The linerless handles are very slightly thicker for added rigidity and therefore fil...

To me, the liners in the Delica don't add significant strength. I agree with the last post...just eliminate the liners from all Delicas. Simplify design and maintenance requirements. And it's lighter...

Re: I like the Para 3 LW...but...

I absolutely respect your opinion, but it still is, well, "just" an opinion ;) : Honestly and without any doubt, for me personally it is the other way round and a back lock more fun and more satisfying to manipulate than a comp. lock. Could be, cause I am really used to and really "well trained" on...
