Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?

Aren't the delica 4's marketed as lightweight? They have full skeletonized liners or at least mine does.. They are lightweight, even with the liners. The versions before the Delica 4 did not have liners, though. Both versions are lightweight, compared to the stainless steel-handled Delicas. Jim

Re: Surprised at what I am carrying, nowadays

I don’t think it’s unusual at all. Small knives are generally more popular with the mainstream public that still do carry knives. In decades past, “the old man with the little 2-blade pen knife” was very common. Someone who only carries a small Spyderco is merely continuing that tradition. And nowad...

10 True Horror Stories More vetted true stories narrated by “Dark Waters.” This collection of true stories is excellent. I have identified the start time of each of the stories. Note: With the exception of story #9, “Dogman of Bayou Sauvage,” which Dark Waters had previously uploaded on YouTube sepa...

Re: H1 vs LC200N

I like them both, but in different ways. But between the two, for me, LC200N edges out H1, because of the way it “feels” to me in use. It’s difficult to put into words, but there’s a slightly “different” feel to H1. I also prefer FFG over short hollow saber grinds, although the latter can be great, ...

“Karate Chop” Knockout (video below) I think I posted earlier in this thread about the effectiveness of edge-of-hand chops to the neck (I’m too lazy right now to search the thread for it). Possibly even posted this video(?). But if I did, it bears repeating: Open-hand chopping to the neck is a viabl...

Thanks Jim, you're a true gentleman, usually the sign of a warrior monk/poet. A zen mind in a well maintained body, always striving for peace but si vis pacem, para bellum... and from the ones I've seen there's a lot of preemptive strikes like you say, when performed correctly and with ill intent w...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

Perhaps the most overlooked Victorinox model. Many moons ago I found one a parking lot of a hobby shop. I carried that one for many years and finally giving it to my brother after I bought a new one. He lost it, of course. I really wish they would release an aloe version in the modern color ways. Y...

“Angry Grandma Does Fortnite Dance Challenge!” Even though she’s always irritated by her grandson, Jake, I’m betting he’s probably the best part of her day. I’m only providing a link, due to profanity and crude language, among other things; so not for those with delicate sensibilities (but not too b...

The Legendary Speed of Ryan Garcia I only recently heard of Ryan Garcia, and I’ve come to like him. Even though he has a big presence on social media, he can back it all up. His raw speed is phenomenal; at his quickest, it looks like undercranking (sped-up) photography. I’ve only seen a few guys wi...

Kainoa Blackeagle discusses shape shifting (and other things).

The little hairy being he describes encountering but refuses to name sounds like a Pukwudjie.

It’s not even close to being my oldest knife, but this Victorinox Executive SAK is the one knife I own that I’ve carried for the longest uninterrupted period of time; 22 years (since 1999), and still going strong. I always have it in my RFP, regardless of what other knife or knives I may carry and u...

Re: Flat Earthers: Growing In Numbers

Joe, As to how anyone could still believe the earth is flat, I’ll go back to what I posted earlier. There are some people who think they are too clever. They believe that because there is some deception in mainstream media, that therefore EVERYTHING in common/mainstream knowledge is false. “They bra...
