Z-CUT serrations

I've been using Spydercos since 1989 when I started with a Worker. When the kitchen knives were introduced I added them as well. A couple of years ago I purchased a pointed tip, serrated Z-Cut and have been very pleased with it. I recently ordered another from an authorized dealer, accepting that th...

Re: What Model is this?

I am trying to identify a model that seems to bridge the "Hunter" and "Stretch" families. It generally resembles the Pro-Venator but has an oval stainless inlay in the middle of the mark side Kraton panel and measures 4-1/4" closed. Has VG-10 steel and Sal's signature/logo o...

Re: Fraden Lock Co - Yet Another PM2 Exclusive

Buddafucco Thanks for noticing that. The missing post was similar but with more (chatty?) information. I assume someone thought it inappropriate to allow. The release is complete now so there's no further reason for me to pursue what happened. "I don't see it. But i found this post of yours fro...

Re: Fraden Lock Co - Yet Another PM2 Exclusive

A few hours ago I pointed out, politely and in a constructive manner, with explanation, that "Fraden" should be "Fradon" but my post is not visible (or I do not know how to find it). Can anyone please help? Thank you.

Re: Anyone else concerned?

I have a lot of thoughts on this as well, if you do make a thread please tag me I’d like to read and contribute. I'd be glad to consult with you but am not sure I have the energy to adequately introduce a potentially complex new topic. SOTC means “state of the collection”. Thanks spoonrobot spoonrob...

Re: Anyone else concerned?

" 'SOTC' posts on forums, facebook, and reddit have been very eye opening." Could spoonrobot or anyone else please tell me what "SOTC "means? Thank you! This thread potentially addresses some very important questions well beyond our affection for Spyderco and Spyderco products. T...

Re: Spyderco 2021 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

It's sort of an unusual store. I'm not intimately familiar with them but have visited the store occasionally. They are best and long known for lock-related items/work but, at some time, branched out into the knife business. I hope someone more familiar with their history can add chronological inform...

Re: Caly 3 Sprint or Exclusive?

I,too, have some of the various Caly models and would be a customer for a new Caly. I have all of the UKPKs because they are the closest in form to the Calys. The most recent UKPKs are excellent but I wouldn’t mind having something of similar size with a lock.

Re: Spyderco UTILITY Knife...

I, too, have wondered why folks prematurely use up the longevity of their fine knives for routine cutting of abrasive cardboard. As much as I'm fond of my Spydercos and other high-quality folders, both traditional and modern, I find a generic folding utility knife more appropriate for cutting thin m...

UKPK drop point availability

I own several versions on the UKPK but have been away from the Forum for a while. I just searched the catalog for a drop point version of the UKPK but found none. Has it been discontinued or did I search poorly? Thanks.
