I just got mine, and I'm very happy with it. It's replacing the Gunting as my "carry everywhere" knife.

One site of the blade says "Golden Colorado USA Earth." I guess Spyderco has some ambitious plans for future expansion!

Ah, I see. The Temperance lock does indeed encourage two-handed closing, although I wasn't doing it that way. Instead, I was releasing it with my thumb and then moving my hand out of the way while closing it with my left hand. I get the idea behind making the handle colored, but I think the silver c...

New Temperance folder

I just received my new Temperance (the leaf point version) yesterday. It's a very nice design! The handle fits my hand perfectly, and the thick spine makes it easy to push down on the blade when cutting something tough. It's interesting that the compression lock releases to the left, unlike the Gunt...

Can anyone tell me what the hours each day are? I need to know when to get there... :-)

I tried calling both of the contact numbers, but didn't get a response yet.

A follow-up to my previous post: I spoke too soon about not damaging my knives--I managed to break a tiny bit off the tip of my Navigator. I still didn't manage to have any effect on the sharpness of the blade, though. I think I'll see if I can find a store in my area that can sharpen knives for me....

80L, I just bought a 204 and, after reading the booklet and watching the video, attempted to sharpen two knives. Like you, I am a novice. After 30 minutes and a really sore hand, I have two knives that are exactly as sharp as they were when I started. That's actually sort of good news, because it me...

I just bought my first! The store where I bought it didn't have anything to identify the model, but from looking through the catalog here it appears to be a Navigator with a different handle. It's made from some kind of black composite with a checkered surface. I just learned that peasants in Califo...

I'm interested in a class like this, because peasants can carry knives but not pistols in California. However, I've done a bit of research on these seminars on the web, and what I found is a bit intimidating. It sounds like everyone taking them is a cop, soldier, or martial arts expert. There's also...
