I think it is weird that there is a little backlash at people who want to buy U.S.A. made products. That is what I buy unless what I want is not made here. I buy SAKs and H1 and designs I really like that are made in other countries, but if there were something with similar properties made in the ...

Remember all those people likely think you look just as silly. Maybe someone is even making fun of your style preferences on a baggy pants or XXL tube top forum right now?

Try cutting the rope with the sharp part instead of the notch. J/K.

What is the advantage of the notch on the blade? I noticed the notch on my spin also but I wasn't sure what it is for?

It probably has some other intended purpose, but without the notch it seems most knives have a really different angle to the edge on the last little bit. The first time I sharpen ...

I like that notch on the blade. I was sharpening a Spin the other day and wished more knives had that.

Thanks Jeff for the update

Does the dye penetrate deep enough that if the handle gets scratch it would still remain green or does a white scratch appear.

Mine shows white where it is scratched. I do not know if that is because I left it in the dye for a short period of time or if it would never ...

I will buy the yellow, but I would like a H1 blade with a dark colored handle. Combo edge might not be really functional that small but would be kind of cool anyway.
A slipjoint would be awesome, maybe even with some type of carbon steel instead of stainless.

I put the powder in about half of a 20 oz. bottle of water and shook it up. Then I opened the knife and put a clamp on the blade. The clamp rested across the top of a little plastic cup with the blade pointing up so the handle was hanging down into the cup but would not touch any part of the cup ...

Just some clothing dye from the grocery store. I do not know what to expect with frn. Skateboard wheels are urethane and take a beating and I have a few sets that are years old and still have nice dark color. I am guessing it will hold up pretty well, but I really do not know.

Green (kind of) Dragonfly

After carrying it just a few times my white Dragonfly was looking kind of dirty. I always used to dye my light colored skateboard wheels dark colors so they would look better longer. I just tried that with the Dragonfly. I used the darkest green I could find and it ended up an olive green that I ...

I usually carry a Maxpedition Typhoon. It is more of a backpack, but with only a single strap. It is the most useful bag I have come across. I believe it is discontinued now.
