The Sage 3 and caly 3.5 really caught my eye, i'm a huge fan of choils and deep carry wire clips and not so much of liner locks so these fit perfectly (my current fav. folder and edc is my caly 3). The Perin PPT is one of the less conventional designs that really caught my eye, interesting and uniqu...

My first good knife was a BM Mini-grip, the one with the HG blade and 'spydie-hole'. I really enjoyed the axis lock on it. Once I got my Caly 3 I found that I cared less about the axis lock. I can still close my Caly 3 one handed, and while I can't flick it open and closed like I could my Mini-grip ...

To be honest I like alot of brands but only implicitly trust a few. All others I still need to do proper research to be sure the specific product is without faults and has a design and construction that I will be happy with. - Spyderco - Bark River Knives - Westcomb - Icebreaker - Patagonia - Merrel...

I have an original SwissTool - like it, but it weighs a ton. How does the Spirit compare to the original? Sorry, I don't have a SwissTool. I don't think I would really have a need for one either; my Spirit covers my needs just fine so something heavier-duty would be overkill. +2, exactly my thought...

I'm blown away that there isn't any mention of the Victorinox Spirit! I have one and it sits on my belt every day. I hve an older LM Wave, a LM Sideclip and a squirt P4. The Victorinox blows them all away! The fit and finish as well as the engineering on this tool is amazing. It also doesn't have a ...

My Favs at the moment at: - Westcomb - a Canadian company that makes really nice outerwear, a few people from Arc'Teryx left to start this company. I think they make better technical outerwear than Arc' does now. - Patagonia - Icebreaker - Very nice Merino Wool layers - Merrell - Don't like their cl...

I really like Arc'Teryx stuff and I have a few of their products - Accomplice jacket (windproof fleece) - Alpha SL <- Returned tho - Bora 65 backpack The design and construction are top-notch but like most have mentioned: you pay for it! I recently picked up a few jackets from Westcomb, another Cana...

Wow, there are alot of nice knives coming out!! The bushcraft looks real nice with those burled maple handles... I wondered what the production ones would look like when I read the spec. I may have to get a hold of one to compare to my Bark River Aurora. The chicago and cat look like real nice offic...

I had EXACTLY the same problem and some light oil in the pivot area and where the lockback bar contacts the blade seems to get the grit out of there. I just put a few drops in, worked it in, another few drops, worked it again. Then I gave it a good rinse and finished it up with some tuff-glide. My C...

Great choice on the 6PL, and yes you do need a more compact 1xCR123 light. I personally have a E1L as well as a Novatac 120P and find myself carrying the Novatac alot more often. One thing you should know about the Surefire E series lights is that they use an optic to gather and project the light. T...

I chose the Kopa myself and voted for it as well. The only thing I might change is the clip, I am usually wearing black or dark pants when I would want to be wearing it... but the shiny clip sticks out on black pants. When i'm wearing a nice, light coloured pair of pants the clip blends in very nice...

Deacon,

STR isn't interested in doing the inlays, which is understandable because I'm sure he is extremely busy is much more interesting projects. Wondering if I could get the contact info for Chase Axinn who did your inlays, to see if he would be interested in doing some for me.

Thanks

Deacon, That Lignum Vitae looks amazing! I have eyed your Atlantic in Bird's eye maple quite a few times! I seem to have a thing for maple. These are my two Bark Rivers in Bird's Eye Maple and Flamed Maple with my natural Gibson Les Paul http://lh3.ggpht.com/guitarainsley/SLSKZWK5AKI/AAAAAAAAAQo/JVL...
