Delica

I think it has a lot to do with how big your hands/fingers are. I find the Delica ergos are pretty good for me, not perfect but good. I have pretty small hands and fairly thin fingers so that little "bump" some of you have ground off falls right between my middle and ring fingers. I am 100...

Hmm

I'd say:

Caly Jr (with jimping would be very cool)

Perrin (with micarta handles like the Street Beat)

Easy

If you don't own a Delica you are missing out. Definitely pick one up. I am waiting on a Delica for now, because it seems to be a lot like my Centofante III, but I will probably end up with one someday. Larger hole opener and its out a little farther from the handle than the Cento. Opens much easier...

Great Thread

I am a big fan of these companies and could not be happier with the products made by them that I own:

Ducati
Tanfoglio
BlackBerry
Nikon (SLR)
Canon (Point and Shoot)
Milwaukee Tools
Panasonic (Plasma)

Great Knife

Amazing knife, I wish these were still available at regular price. Super lightweight, barely smaller than the Delica, rides nice and low in the pocket, great flatground blade... My only complaint is a lack of jimping. Just got one and it's my new favorite every day use Spyderco. :D <img class="...

Nice job! But for probably less than half the price of the G-10 donor Delica, you could have sent it to Tom Krein for one of his famous regrinds. I did just that with my PE D4W and it is easily one of the sharpest knives in my collection. Tom does a GREAT job on regrinds, and is fast and inexpensiv...

I would happily trade my G10 Delica for yours! PM me if you are interested.

Otherwise if there is enough interest I can throw up a Howto step by step video for the bladeswap on YouTube.

Agree

I could not agree more.

The biggest reason I bought my mini-persian was because of the cool micarta handle. It's a little heavy for my liking so it sits on my desk as an art piece :D Despite the weight it's one of my favorites though.

Love that black Micarta.

Delica Flatground bladeswap

Now I am sure I'm not the first person to do this... but I did a quick search and didn't come up with much so I figured I'd post my 2 cents. Let me start by saying I am a huge flatground blade fan. They look great, they cut great, and they weight very little. I'd say I'm a minimalist when it comes t...

Which LM? Vivi - thank you. Kimjune01- yes those are the clips. Sorry if this is brand heresy, but please understand I'm trying to improve a low-cost utility tool by adding a high-end clip. This is my wierd tendency toward making silk purses out of sow's ears. Let me be plain here, this LM utility k...

Looking for a place to machine "jimping" into my Mini-Persian

Anybody online perform this service at a reasonable rate?

I would like to get some anti-slip groves (jimping?) cut into the thumb and forefinger area on my Mini-Persian like the Caly3 has.
