WOW....this is the first time I am seing the pics of the production proto. Sal told they would build it excactly like the proto I made and man they sure did....Great job Sal!! The Zulu is the second collaboration model of Jens Anso, and this is different animal than the thin and lightweight Rocklobs...

Grazie mille RobertoP! When I design my knives I put almost the same effort into making the knife look good closed as I do open. To me it is very important that the knife function visually in both open and closed.....besides a knife is probably closed more than open :)

thank you all for the kind well wishes...! I had a wonderfull day with my family in the summerhouse spending my time at the beach and in the shadow with a good book....both something I hardly ever have time to do..... :)

I carry both tip up and tip down knives....for smaller knives I like tip up...for larger I like tip down....a proper made detent on linerlocks should prevent ANY problems with tip up as well as the pocket seem......

thats funny Clay as I remember this European walking around the streets of Sidney when I was on a similar trip some 16 years ago....was in Aussy land for about 5 months....traveling the East coast...good times! The Rocklobster was designed a general utility piece as is most of my designs....long ago I gave up designing knives for specific purposes. I find that the knife you carry in your pocket should be usefull for just about any task you come across during your day and I feel my designs including the Roc...
