Paul,
I've heard of problems with Benchmade's Omega springs in their axis locks as well, though I haven't had any. Of course, they don't get as much use now that I'm a Spyderco addict.

Has a ballpark release date been set for a ball lock sage? I've heard that one will be made, but I'm not sure if ...

I mentioned something similar on another thread, but my ideal Spydie would be a UKPK (or Caly3 with screw construction) with a ball lock in either zdp189, s30V or VG10 in that order.

Obviously once you add the lock, it's not technically a UK knife anymore, but you get my point - That size and ...

No worries Paul. With so many great options from Spyderco, it'll make your head spin. Quick question, do you own any axis lock knives? I was wondering how the caged ball lock compares in terms of smoothness and usability. I'm sure it's extremely secure.

I really like the axis lock and will most ...

Hey,

I was about to order and I saw the drop point UKPK. Wow! **** you Spyderco!
I'm going to have to find another job. I have a couple of questions that you might be able to help me out with.

1. Have any of you used the drop point version of the UKPK???

2. What do you think of the design ...

Thanks for the input guys. I received my stretch, and I have to say it's phenomenal. It fits perfectly in the hand, and the wear resistance is unbelievable. I'm going backpacking in Peru in May, would this knife be a good option, or do I have to worry about corroding the blade?

I have a question, what are the pros/cons of a leaf blade shape (caly3) vs. the shape of the stretch II. In other words, what are the premises behind the two blade designs? What are the designed purposes for these two blade shapes? BTW, I can't wait for the postman to get here with my new stretch II ...

Thanks THG. I've heard of the Sharpie trick before, but that is the best description I've seen so far. I just ordered my stretch 2 and can't wait for it to arrive.

Quick question

Hello, this is also my first post, but I have been an avid reader for quite some time - which has led to many nights of litle to no sleep :) . The stretch 2 looks like the next knife I "need." I was wondering what the angle is on the edge. Should I sharpen it on 30 or 40 degree angle on the ...
