The subject says man's first weapon; the post says man's first tool. I'm sure they were two different things. Which one are you asking?
Either way, though, I'd love to know how your doctor knows. I'm pretty sure that whatever it was, it predates records.

Geez. You guys must be pretty serious collectors or something. I can't think of a Spyderco I want enough that I'd be willing to pay more than the MSRP. More than half of it is even a little iffy. There are a couple I've really wanted since day one, and I managed to get them for 1/2, 1/3, and 1/8 MSR...

I'm also a pretty big fan of the USPS, never had a problem. As a matter of fact, I'm wrangling with UPS right now -- something going from Florida (them) to Maryland (me) ended up in Illinois (huh?). I always ship priority with a confirmation number, and I don't remember the last time it took more th...

They've always treated me right, and I see no reason to think they won't do so in the future. Cops using a Spyderco doesn't make Spyderco hypocritical. It means that someone at Cops has good taste. You might say that there legal issues in knife production is oxymoronic but, quite frankly, it's not. ...

It really makes no difference to me. I suppose the optimal size would be the one on the G-10 Harpy, since it's the knife on which I learned. Muscle memory and all that. But, really, I find it very easy to open my Ladybug, and I found it veyr easy to open my Military. That's part of the beauty of a h...

- Topic: Spyderco Online Factory Store Prices??

I've bought from the factory store once or three times. Everything else has been from elsewhere on the internet. I don't think I have ever bought a knife in a real store, but that's because I've only been to one, and prices were thirty to fifty percent above MSRP. I'd pay MSRP, but that's a bit of a...

The technical reason is that, since putting serrations on both sides is impractical, they needed to pick one side. Assuming you're holding the thing you're cutting with your left hand (because you're cutting with your right), they wanted the knife to migrate away from your holding hand, not toward i...
