Hi ginsu and welcome,you should try 3M scotch brites(maroon ones works well)on the blade or the handle,keep the direction of the precedent polishing!

Hi Joe,i always use 204(side by side) and finish sharpening with a leather strop(and some razor paste),i think i must learn to sharpen correctly!

It is normal when i use my frn calypso jr.on a wood or polypropylen board,the edge became immediatly dull?(even sharpened at 40&#176<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>The same things occurs with my Q!

I would say that the drying vent (Harpy,mariner)exists on other knives(like wichard)and it is primarily to screw off shackles but why call this a drying vent?
