I tried what I guess would be a spinewhack and nothing much happened, I can feel it shift a bit, but nothing too big. I'm not hitting it real hard because it's the coated version and I don't want to scratch off the coating. Is it something that could even be easily fixed? I know the Military (my oth...

I carry the Military, so 4 in.

Opening packages, boxes, cutting rope, cleaning my nails, scraping, even sometimes cutting food.

13 or 14. I'm 22 now.

Lum Folding Tanto lock movement

Should the lock on a liner lock move with pressure on the blade? When I put pressure on the back of the blade, the liner lock moves towards the outside (as in, trying to "unlock&quot<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>. My Military doesn't do this at all. ...

Thanks for the help folks, now atleast I know what I've got, though, I think I'm gonna end up returning it to the ebay seller. She said it was LNIB. She mentioned some handling scratches, but it was pretty beat up. Blade is a little loose, if it's not locked out, there is a little side to side blade...

Hoffritz?

I just got a Police with the name Hoffritz engraved on it. What's the story on it? At first I thought that it was someone that had engraved the knife, but now I'm wondering because I did a search of the name on here, and it came up with some hits. Anyone have any idea what the deal is on this knife?...

Mr. Kesting, I am studying Political science, so I don't think I have met him, although, back home I had a Math Prof from Aussie land, sorry, but I don't remember exactly where though. Also met a girl from Melbourne here too. Interesting history your country has. I read in some book that some people...

Student, UTD normally, but now I am just finishing up an exchange program to the U of Alberta in Edmonton. When I was home I worked at REI in Dallas, but just on the weekends.

Okay can't write an essay on this one (got a 10 page paper due tomorrow on the IMF, oh joy). I have held the SS police and the Military. I seem to remember the Military being somewhat slimmer, but I could be wrong, I am just saying that by feel. It is much lighter. The wear issue is true, already my...

Hey kraziekurtis, not a huge deal, all you need to do is resize it down to below 400x400 pixels. Most picture programs can do this. Also, make sure that the file extension is .jpg not .jpeg, while they are the same file types, some programs (this one) won't recognize it as one and kick it back. Not ...

I thought of mine because it is my fav pistol. The Browning Hi-power. I really liked the pistol and I wanted something that made sense for a screen name so I thought of FN (Fabrique Nationale) then HP (Hi-power) then 35 because it was originally called the GP-35 in Belgium when it came out. That is ...

RYAN and yog Thank you very much for your help. I am sorry for the somewhat garbled post as well. Okay, so what you are saying, Ryan is that the holes that receive the screws are on the opposite side? Meaning one is on the "right" side of the knife, and the other is on the "left"...

Okay, I am somewhat of a newbie (although I have been lurking for awhile) and I have found these images. Basically I was wondering is the Civilian was ever made with the reversible pocket clip. The literature says that it is tip down. So basically, who is right? Thanks much.

Thank you ftkinney, I appreciate that. I have enjoyed your comments on this forum (as well as many others). Eagle, 1999, although no OA, ran out of time. I just barely made Eagle before my 18th B-day. As for knife carrying on campus, well I am pretty sure that it is illegal but the campus police don't seem to know that (and I am talking about college here). I went and asked them what the legal limit to ca...
