Most knife companies I've seen seem to underwhelm the heat treatment of 154CM. I know that it isn't used much anymore, but I am certainly curious about something here. Normally, I see it's around anywhere from 58-61HRC, but it's been reported closer to the lower end.

We generally don't do the "when" until we're ready to deliver. If we give a date and some glitch changes the schedule, the disappointment is challenging.

So when the item has been through QC and we're ready to ship, we get them out.

4V is a pretty tough steel so the edge shouldn’t be chipping like that from general use.

Of all the FACTORY edges I've tested so far, Rex-45 and LC200N has not chipped on me. All others have. I'm not sure why, considering I don't use my knives exceptionally hard.
