Re: HRC Database

Anyone tested Magnacut Spyderco HRC ?

Asked this a while ago, but looks like it's a trade secret. Gemini AI said its likely to be 72-73 and according to Larrin Thomas, it's most balanced at 72.5.

I don't think that would be a real HRc for Magnacut. According to Larrin in his post on it ...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

Wandering_About One thing to keep in mind according to Niagara Steel, with the closure of Crucible, there aren't any other steel plants that today can make 15V, so that metal will sunset for the foreseeable future, which stinks. So grab all your 15V knives now, not sure how much Spyderco has in ...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

So I measured the tips on each one and here is what I found:
S90V - 0.029
S110V - 0.030
SPY27 - 0.033
CruWear - 0.029
15V - 0.028

So they are all very close all by margins of error.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for doing the measurements.
Indeed a bit of variation, but all close.

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

Hello,

I received my M2 from Cutlery Shoppe and so far so good. No issues that I see or feel. Not a super big fan of the DLC, as you can tell, but had to get another steel in the mix. The Salt Magnacut and plain S30V are still on the list, and will be coming up next to join the family. Considering ...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

Speaking of aftermarket clips, has anyone tried the modular milled two piece Lynch NW clips? If you have them would you mind a few photos of how it looks?

I guess the first step is admitting that you have a problem? 😁

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

So I just got a 15V version today, and was wondering if there was any numbers to how large the sprint run was yet? Love to know production numbers for this sprint run.

So far so good, except that I guess the step-child here as all my other M2's are the stainless versions reared up and took a slice ...

Help dating a flyer

Hello,

I downloaded a Spyderco flyer online somewhere, and now I can't remember where. Its a two page PDF listing some of their knives. I am trying to date this flyer at least to the year it might have been released? I have included pictures of the two pages.

Strange that they list the C39 Dyad Jr ...
